the thought just came into my mind, but is there a way to tune a stock ecu? or does there need to be an aftermarket one, or a piggyback one in place for a tune... or would it even be benificial at all to tune a stock ecu? just curious

you cant reflash or chip the 5s or 7a ecu's. you would need a good piggy back or a standalone to make any changes.

a piggy back is something like greddy's emanage, basically "piggybacks" your factory ecu so u and adjust settings...

back to lagos' reply, what about the 3s ecu? or are you implying that its true for all factory ecu

ATS racing offers rom tunes for the 3s ecu. you mail them your ecu and they "chip" it.

i wish we could just reflash through the obd2 port with ECUTek, like all the subaru and mitsu guys can these days.
