i've accidently disconnected the wrong wire for the passenger airbag located on top of the glove box (yellow wire),...the airbag sign in the tachometer lit up and stayed lit up, when i plug it back in and no difference...any idea how i can fix this situation? i unplugged the battery and plug it back in, nothing...next thing imma try is to get the ecu plug off (i think it is located under the arm rest box) and try to unplug and plug it in...hopefully this will work...any other ideas? the yellow wire for the airbag seems to be plugged in tightly back.

hopefully you've been doing all the plugging/unplugging with the battery disconnected.
the ecu doesn't want anything to do with the airbags, iirc. i would try disconnecting your negative battery terminal, unplugging it all one more time to make sure none of the pins are bent and then resecuring all the connections one more time. if you hook your battery back up and the warning light is still on, you might want to try having it scanned. i'm pretty sure anything that has a warning lamp will have an obd code associated. somebody correct that if i'm wrong! -------------------- ![]() do you know who i am, mr. worley? |

reseting the SRS ECU might do it. Like uber said, disconnect the negative battery terminal first, then get to the SRS ECU and unplug it. Wait about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and re-attach the battery. Hope this works
