Hey guys,

I have myself a 1998 Toyota Celica GT-Four (st205, 3sgte).

I have been trying to install a boost gauge today, it’s hooked up and working but I think I have the boost line hooked into the wrong place.

I have a mechanical boost gauge, so the tube runs from gauge into the engine bay.

At the moment I have it connected between the turbo outlet and the waste gate inlet, it reads 0 when idle and when I plant it, it goes to 10 psi and then the needle bounces up and down no matter how hard it goes.

So is this reading what the wastegate is doing, which would explain why on idle it is reading 0 psi and not the actual vacuum?

Last question, where in the engine bay should the boost line be hooked into?

Thanks guys and sorry for long post.
Scott
