Im wondering about installing climate control...
Ive found a cheap facia/control panel, what more would i theoretically need??? My car doesnt have air con, so not bothered if these buttons dont work do anything! Im guessing all the wiring will be there? Is there a seperat control unit that ill need aswell? Cheers in advance! -------------------- ![]() |

It'd be nice if we could put in a all digital climate control....

on all digital climate control:
in theory it should be do-able. but i'm not good enough with electronics yet. i'd think you'd want to messure voltages coming off the various wire harnesses (or find a schematic, where's that celica electrical manual??). then use a car pc with some sortof pci control board to mimic the climate control unit. i think easier for people with the actual climate control unit instead of the heater/ac we have in america. for the heater/ac, the blue->red dial tugs on two cables that go to a spot by the accelerator and also into the engine bay. so a further obstacle in getting a climate control out of that would be rigging up a good servo-motor to handle the twisting. i can only assume the jdm cc unit has a more elegant way than that. |
