I've been looking for a nice set of deep dish gunmetal or black rims w/ a polished lip and finally found some from tsw. Today i stopped by at our local tire shop and ordered a set of these tsw thruxton's in hyperblack. I wanted to get a lilttle bigger rims cos the lip is gonna take an inch away of the looks. So in the front 19x8" and in the back some 19x9,5" with a 225 and 235/35 tires and btw ET35. In the front with a 2 7/9" lip and in the back 3 1/2" lip. These rims do fit in my celica and we've tested it also. Tires are as high as the 225/40r18's that i already got so i wouldnt lose any acceleration. I know many of you would been taken the 18's but i've figured this thing out really long and made my decision to get my hands on some 19's. Here is also a pic of the rims so what do you guys think? Im getting the rims in 2 months and gonna give you some pics then.

+35mm offset on each rim...i didnt think 19x9.5r would work with +35mm offset (i thought +30mm max really) but glad it does, makes rim options that much better

good luck, and nice choice of rims

Do you mean that those are gonna come out of the fenders? Cos thats not gonna happen. I think that we had to put on some spacers to get rim out little bit more.

Great choice. These come as a dealer option on the mustang gt's. I think they might be a bit heavier than your 18's. It's gonna be an incredible look with the wider rims in the back, as long as they fit. I had to get a 42mm offset with my 19's.

i cant wait to see the car on the 9.5" wide rims. i, myself, am thinking about getting some rwd offset rims...i'm leaning towards some sportmax 962's though

the only thing is i'll have to get a 1"spacer with a 5x100 to 5x114 conversion for the rear rims. they dont make the lug pattern for 18x9.5 et35 in 5x100. only 5x114/120 universal

i also plan on rolling/stretching the fenders so i could fit the 10.5" width that the rim and spacer will need

I know! Thats the main problem in our celis cos theres not much wide rims with 5x100 lug pattern. frown.gif

If i understand you right - then your totally wrong. Theres not a big difference in a price of that set im getting (f: 8x19, b:9,5x19") or in a set with 8x19" in the f and b. The difference is like 100usds so that aint a bad price to get wider rim just for looks. Atleast i think so. Anyway correct me if im getting you wrong.

And thanks for all your opinions and replys.

Can we get some more pics of how those deep dishes turned out?

-How exactly did they fit, in the front vs. the rear?

-Any rubbing?

-How does it drive and handle with wider rims in the rear ? Thanks......

Theres only little rubbing on the back but when i cut little off from the inside of fenders that problems fades away. And there
aint really a big difference in ride quality compared to my old 18's which where all 8" wide. Im in love with my car right now.
And after i get done with the fenders im going to drop it some 2-3cm more. Hope you guys like it too. smile.gif

wow your car looks amazing with the rims on. They fit flush and look like they where made for your car.

I was read through your post and i could not find what offset your using.

Do you have pictures of your 18's on the car so we can have a comparison?

Those rims look awesome on your car! I'm going for a similar look on mine but I want to stick to 18's and probably black with the machined lip.

I usually don't like rims that big on celi's but it looks sick on your car. Great job!

2 suggestions...1. get wheel spacers so the wheels are hella flush. 2. get coilovers and a good camber kit to really make it flush. your car will be soooo hot then

lol, too funny
i have these wheels on my rear in 18X9.5 +20
i want to sell them as soon as money permits me to get 18X9.5 +20 in Work Emotion for the rear, as that's what my fronts are...

Great wheels for the cost, but i feared having too many people rocking them since they are so affordable, yet wide + semi-light.

Im not so sure about those spacers but im also been thinking of them. And i would like to get some coilovers but im running with that damn superstrut front and for example teins with ss cost 2400€ and i think thats little too much. kindasad.gif Have to find out if D2's would work with it. wink.gif Those are the same coils that my friend has on his tiburon. Those costs only 900€ and works fine.

And thanks guys for the replys.
