Does the celica gt have any turbo kits or is that they dont make any for the 5sfe or is it just better to built your own from the 3sgte?

They do have turbo kits for the 5s. Burien Toyoat makes it. There has been alot of questiona about the reliability and dependability of their kit. It is 2500 dollars. If you pm Presure2 he will be able to give you some more information on the 5s turbo. He turbo'd his 5S over a year ago and its still running strong. You should also read his post in the Forced Induction Forum. Good luck with your search.

What are your plans for your celica? If you plan on having huge hp, I would recommend a 3s swap. If you are wanting a cheaper route for your celica, I would go with the 5sfe turbo kit from Burien. From what iv'e seen, they provide very good hp gains, and they are super reliable.

the burien kit is WAY overpriced for what you get.
IMO no intercooler is a big no no on the 5sfe.
read the stickys, theres lots of info about turboing and swapping in there.

i turboed my 5sfe you can search these boards or the mr2 boards and find a couple of people who are selling their kits. the reason my 5sfe isnt running any more is irrelevant to the turbo, its oil related. but anyway, you'll need turbo, turbo manifold, intercooler, supra greentop injectors, spark plugs pregapped, 3sgte map sensor, oil feed and return lines, oil filter relocation kit, ic piping, 3sgte oil pan, or tap your own oil pan, its not a hard job and its REAL fun to drive afterwards! good luck.

the greentops are too small for the 5sfte in the celica at anything other than minimum boost.
the mr2 writeups for the 5sfte are pretty dated imo.

dated? then why do people keep using them? and the supra green top injectors handle well up to about 12 psi. its the brown top injectors that only handle stock boost. but you can also get the rx7 injectors and the adaptors and they'll run well also.

show me a dyno chart with A/F ratio that shows the 315s are sufficent.

heres mine @ 8-9psi that shows there not.

the 315s are good for around 195~whp, 100% maxed out.
the rule of thumb is to try to keep it under 85%...that would be ~175whp...most 5sftes, especially in the celica, where we can run a larger FMIC, make that pretty easy with the ct-26. wink.gif

from the mr2 boards
QUOTE
Yes, they are good if you stick to the sticky way of doing things. That is use a ct-26, 315cc injectors, 2 bar 3sgte MAP, 5sfe ECU, BTM and keep it under 9-10psi. The light green tops are only too small if you use a bigger turbo or run more then 10psi boost.
so we're both right?

no.
@ 8-9 psi, if you look at my dyno sheet i posted, you can see my a/f ratio is in the 17s!!!
just fyi, it should be around 11.5:1 under boost.
