i'd suggest 2.25". any bigger, and you'll start to lose back-pressure. besides, go w/ what GReddy uses for the SP exhaust, and that's 60mm or w/e, and that breaks down to right around 2.25". not exactly, but close enough. heh.

Yep, the Greddy SP has 60 mm piping all the way back.

I wouldn't put an APC sticker on my car either, but I do have APC parts on my car. My low beam headlights have APC Ion bulbs, which are very cool and unique(Haven't ever seen them on another car) and run at stock wattage.

Ya, if I were in this perdicament, I'd either scrap or sell the APC muffler and just go to Nopi and order the entire Greddy system. If you are going to buy the pipe anyway, you might as well.

That would cost a lot more though. Crush-bent 2.5" pipe from the cat-back and installation of my 5Zigen fireball muffler only costed me $100, bringing my exhaust system to a total of a little more than $200. If you've got the extra money, you may want to consider the Greddy because the piping is mandrel bent and is the optimum size for a Celica.

is 2.25" or 2.5" piping good for an exhaust system? run it that size all the way or just after the cat? Also should a high flow cat be used?

I would run 2.5 pipe all the way. I would recommend goin with high flow cat, but you don't have too.
