My low beams were aimed a bit low for my taste. Well now that I dropped the suspension and the cars stance is a little bit raked my low beams are pointed practically straight at the ground. I looked in my chilton manual, and it said how to check the aiming, and if it's out of those little level indicators take it to the stealership. Well, I'm thinkin basically "Screw that" because I'm a brokeass college student and I don't want to pay someone to aim them when they still probably won't aim them how I'd like them. So I go into the hood with screwdriver in hand, and just start turning things... aaannd nothing happens. I need to aim them up because I can't see potholes at night untill I'm right on top of them, which with the new suspension hurts like a beyotch, plus there's a ****load of them out here. I may also want to aim my high beams up a little bit too because of the pitch of the car. Can yall give me a pointer or two on how to go about this?

i believe the bolt (8mm) the actual steel one, is the one that shoots the beam up or down, just mess with it a lot...i mean a lot and it will change the shot

i was gonna do this two nights ago, and it's pretty tight in that area. but anyway, while we're still on this topic, which way do i turn the 8mm screws to point up? clockwise or counterclockwise?
(i would like to know because it's -50 degrees C here and would like this done asap. no time to warm up the garage for a small job) -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Well it was pretty cold last night here too. It is pretty tight in there but if you've got an 8mm ratchet that's not too big it's a quick job. All I did was point it towards a wall, turn the lights on and go. I didn't really pay attention to which way I was turning them, just if the light went down instead of up, I flipped the ratchet and went the other way. Using that method I did all four lights in like 5 minutes. The lateral adjusters are on top, the vertical adjusters are a little bit more of a PITA, especially on the DS low beam because you have a battery and engine ground wire to contend with.
