I posted this pic a while back & was wondering if anyone would be interested in having one of these done for them? My Dad drew this for me a year or so ago after seeing how obsessed I was w/ my car lol. Anyway I'll get price quotes from him & post them asap...I don't think its cheap (custom made things never are hah) but I think its worth it. He is GREAT!

If you dont want yourself in there & just want you car done thats an option too of course. The way he does this is he will start with a quick sketch of the images you want done & send it to you so you can give him feedback. Once your happy w/ how it looks he makes the final drawing. If you would rather have a more realistic drawing done instead of cartoon looking he can do that as well. My dad is an amazing artist

Natalie come on I know you want one wink.gif He might charge you extra for your huge boobs though biggrin.gif jk

That's really good. Tell me he is working as a graphic artist in some field or another. I hate the way talented artists who recieve education and training usually get stuck in some normal everyday job wasting their talents while sports players are put on a pedastal and made rich beyond their needs.
Sorry - I'm stuck drawing machines in CAD when I went to college for Studio Art.

He has loved art since his whole life. His high school teachers would let him skip clalss so he could go draw & paint in his art class all day because he was so good @ it. Then he discovered computers & kinda taught himself on that as well. He doesnt have any kind of training except what he has taught himself, but he has had some good jobs before. Like doing some work for Apple. But currently he is self employeed.

The place he worked @ for 8 years (the whole reason we moved to the NW) he was head of the computer graphics department until his boss sold the company a couple of years ago for like 23 mil & then the new owners let all of the old employees go & hired their own people....Which sucks since my dad was the 3rd person hired in that company back in 96 & he helped build it from scratch. Its too bad he didnt get to see any of that 23 mil eh???

But anyway, I agree. Its a shame to see talent go to waste kindasad.gif

What kind of art do you do?

Amy you've seen some of my art before. LOL. laugh.gif
Anyway - started out wanting to be a comic book artist [specifically an inker] but then realised that's like trying to become a rock star - way to much talented competion - not enough jobs. So then I just started doing CAD work for my college job and now I'm their Engineering manager and designer of new products. It's cool at least I get to draw still - just not what I wanted.
I'm good with pen and ink, Acrylic paints, watercolors, especially good with colored pencils, dable in photography, etc. Subject matter just depends on my mood - pretty easy when you're not not getting paids to do it. LOL.

Here's an old one I recently started working on again [acrylic paint]:

And a picture I took in the woods of east texas. Some creepy Hillbilly actually nailed this to a tree. Notice the dolls head is cracked and has tinfoil eyes [notice the nail through the mouth]. It was Blair-witch $hit for sure. Before I took the picture I started looking around to make sure noone was watching me.:

Thanks.
My god Amy - the first 2 times I looked at the picture of you and your car I thought the car was a picture manipulated on the computer but he actually drew that. Man your Dad is so talented! That makes me sick cause I love my car so much and I've never been able to draw cars for some odd reason. I can draw anything else with extreme realism but not cars. WTF?
