Thats a pretty small turbo, but I just realized you have an ST. Zero turbo lag?? If you still want T3 you can get a super 60 turbo from Dezodmotorsports or try ebay. Don't get those chinese made turbos look Garret like you stated.

O btw the t3 super 60 is the choice for the 1.7 liter motor civic. Not trying to say your car is in common with the civic. Because Celica's and civics are different by far.

What would be cheaper a used turbo and a rebuild or a brand new turbo?

Well I guess going cheap with something like turbo isn't the right way.

Of course you can. As long as you have the 5 bolt patter turbo and you buy the 5 bolt your wastegate will bolt right up. Then you won't have to change your downpipe or anything. Well' given that your wastegate is still good.

hmm.. I'm not sure. We'll I would think that all turbos should come with that port because if the turbo was internally wastegated and you wanted it external all you have to do is by a different dp and guy an external wastegate and hook it up to the manifold. That port from because means does nothing then. Why not just get a rebuild on your turbo since your looking for the same kind? It would be by far cheaper than a brand new turbo.

lol. thats not good at all. Well the way I see it is that port is just a port. Exhaust is going to come out of the hot side anyway. As long as your wastegate os hooked up it will control the forced air. If you are real concerned call them tomorrow and find out about that port on the turbo. Or maybe someone who knows more about turbos can help. Good luck bro.

QUOTE(jesterwr217 @ Apr 16, 2007 - 12:26 AM)

that is not a Garrett turbo. and it says in the description its a simple design with no wastegate, meaning you would need an external wastegate.

QUOTE(jesterwr217 @ Apr 16, 2007 - 12:29 AM)

this (and the link to AGP that was posted) are journal bearing turbos. if you can, try and go for a ball bearing turbo as they are more responsive and more resistant to damage from lack of lubrication. also, I would assume it doesn't have an internal wastegate since that is usually somewhat of a selling point and they say nothing about it, plus there is only one very generic picture

heres a link to the AGP ball bearing selection, but I don't think they have the trim you're looking for

Hurley the T3s are all journal bearing turbos from Garret
i think you have to buy the upgraded CHRA center housing for the BB upgrade
which is a price tag of a few hundred dollars...

you can get an internal wastegated T3s60 though....

sorry, I figured there would be some place that rebuilds T3's with ball bearings now. I guess you have to get a T3/T4 hybrid for that then.

edit:
a little expensive but I knew I saw it somewhere

i ended up ordering a brand new turbo from turbokits.com with the exact same spec but all they have for a DP flange is the mitsubish dsm one so ill have to redo my DP but w/e it only cost me 900 which isnt bad for a new turbo
