i noticed that when i run my car and i open the hood up and feel my intake tube i have cai, its hot i was thinking bout using some header wrap so it wont get to hot and that way it will intake more colder air without getting heated up as it goes into my engine what are ur thoughts bout this? btw header wrap is bout 50 bucks at a local automotive shop....

It's a sound idea - especially on a warm day - lots of motorsport cars do it wink.gif

They actually make a blanket style one specifialy for intakes or turbos. Check out DEI they make some great stuff. Here is my header after wraping it with thier regular 2" wrap.

i already did this. Im runnin headers and they were hot enough as is, so i wrapped them, but still noticed my intake piping was hot too, so i wrapped it with some DEI stuff, so far ive noticed a bit of a difference in just throttle response and the way my car is running. Idels better, runs a little smoother. Good thing i had some extra heat wrap laying around.

Wrap that header too, all the way past the engine block - keeps the whole engine bay cooler = happier motor.

You turbo guys will benefit a lot from header wrap as well.
