that sounds like quite a project. I hope you have lots of money cause rebuilding these 6th Gens are no fun. Hardly anyone makes parts for the 6th Gen and most universal crap won't fit. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone planting a 7th gen engine in a wrecked 6th gen, but I'm more than certain it's going to take more effort than it's worth.
I'd strongly recomend doing a lot of research into how much it's going to cost to repair the car and factor in all the parts and mods and body work etc before you dive in. |

Ah ok.... , maybe if I see a cheap 6th gen i'd buy that instead of buying a wrecked. I dont live in the USA so maybe we have more parts laying arround here in Europe. I was planning on buying a 6th gen who had a lot of miles or was wrecked so I would get it cheap. I would like to see what a 6th gen can do with 140hp that's comming out of that neat looking 7th gen VVT-I
![]() We got a lot of clubs here in The Netherlands so I might ask if someone could help me realising this project ![]() If anyone ever did this plz react! Thnx for your time --NiTTo-- |

Maybe you'd do best to find a cheap sixth gen with lots of miles, and then do either a 3s-gte swap if you get a gt, or a 4a-ge or 4a-gze swap if you get a st. I know that a fairly new seventh gen engine with low miles is gonna cost a lot of money; probably much more than any of those engines I mentioned.

are those engines you are mentioning n/a or turbocharged? I'd prefer n/a thats why i would like to have an 7th gen under the hood.

why the hell would u want a N/A engine when you can get a turboed or charged engine with the cash u are talking about spending for a 7th gne motor.... but if u really want the N/A get the 3sge or just keep the motor that would be in the celica u want to buy. otherwise the 3sgte swap is the best.... getting just a GT4 would be ur best bet but there not cheap/. -------------------- ![]() 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

One major problem with putting in a 7th gen 1ZZ or 2ZZ engine in a 6th gen is the weight. The ZZ engines don't have enough torque. The 6th gen Celica is heavier than the 7th gen. You are better off going with the 3S-GE engine if you want to go n/a. These numbers are rough est. Hope this helps.

Thnx for the info. There is also a toyota celica 2.2 litre engine. Does any1 have info about that engine?
I would like to have an engine in my celica wich has enormous amounts of torque but isn't turbocharged. |
