I'm so glad 6th gens have their own place on the net! great site, first time here. I love my 6th gen. I've had it about 3 1/2 years bought it with 74k and now almost 140k! Still runs great. I've had some bad experiences with my car lately. (crack heads stole my 1000w amp.
![]() My rotors are getting a little worn down. And i got way to lazy a few months back and waited to late to change my brake pads. So now i have a rut in my front right rotor. It's not big, but i do notice a slight give on fast slow downs. I saw that kvr slotted are listed but no price. Does anyone have any price estimates or maybe other options? tia |

go here if you want KVR Cross Drilled....http://www.poweredbytoyota.com/noname.html
but they are kinda pricy for all 4 its $386 and free shipping, the ones i bought are iRotors, which are about $270 for all 4 and i think they look alot better then the ones from KVR. Heres there site http://www.irotors.com/products/16-6.shtml anyway enjoy |

There is one thing I have noticed about the KVR rotors, you can get them silver plated. This would look really good and also make them last alot longer, especiaaly if you live in a area where things are known too rust.

Thanks for the info... I'm definatly considering the i-rotor's now. 129$ for just the front. That's not a bad deal.
Seems to be a easy install. Would anyone know where to get a set of decent front brake pads at a decent price. I think they're about 60-70 bux for a set at my local shop. Any other suggestions? Would stock brake pads work with new slotted discs? |

Ok... For good front brake pads, you could try Tirerack, and get EBC greenstuff pads. IMO the best pads around. Since the getting new pads will enhance your braking more than anything else (brake lines 2nd, calipers 3rd, then rotors last), it isn;t wise to skimp on them. If you use stock brakepads they will probably get torn to shreds by slotted rotors. You may be able to get by having stock pads with crossdrilled rotors, but definatly not slotted. |

you can have your rotors usally machined down smooth for a fraction of the cost for new rotors... check out your local brake shop
