well I was flying through the country and saw a abird hit my car, heard the umph over the radio and saw feathers....when I got home i was shocked to see the damage...my lip is screwed.....cuz i need to get that vis carbon fiber lip now, because it will cost about the same to get a new lip and paint it. God i ahve the worst Luck, it took me 10 minutes to clean out all the feathers in the grill

notice sum blood
IPB Image

the birds head was literally stuck in the lip, damn fiberglass
IPB Image

aftermath i'm crying
IPB Image

so is is cheaper to get your the invader lip and paint or get the cf one, i'm leaning towards cf one,...how reslilent is it towards craking?

dude, that 2nd pic is gross.
lol
fiberglass can be fixed. easily.
C/F on the other hand, once damaged, is not.
just FYI. wink.gif
from the pics you posted, the damage looks minor, and unless its molded on, should be an easy fix with some marglass, and maybe a bit of 'glass mat on the backside if needed.
good luck.

man that is pretty gross pulling a bird out of your bumper lol.
deffinitely x2 on the fix it yourself, it wouldn't be that hard and it would cost you a heck of a lot less money. just do what presure is talking about and then you might even be able to get a black can of touch up paint and feather it out, it could look pretty good, depending on your skills.

for now i hit it with aot of touch up apint jsut to cover up the white, i dont have any bondo experience, I need to learn, but I still have pint of my paint left over from the riser block project, so I'll take that paint and clear coat to my body shop buddy, and have him use the marglass stuff(sounds cool), I should only be charged 1-2 hours of labor which aint bad,.....thanks guys .....oh yeah i buried the bird head and played taps for it today lol

why did you take the bird head off?

you should have left it there as a reminder to other animals to not mess with your car.
