I went to a car show yesterday with good friends of mine. It was a nice turnout considering the amount of rain that fell when it first started. Mostly muscle cars and antiques, but there were two charged beasts there.
   My friends 89 SCC Saleen Mustang. Over 600hp.     He took first place in the special interest group. I was the only car in the "Tuner" class, so this is what I got.  1st place  I know what you're all thinking. But, a wins a win.

Congrats on the win. So how do they score the cars? Exterior, interior, engine bay?? Even if there were other tuners there, you'd still blow them away.

siiick. its always funny to be the only import at shows like that. last show i was at i wrote a note and placed it on the turbo. "the replacement for displacement" they thought it was funny.

His name is Shawn.
He burned out a relay and associated wiring for his radiator fan going to the car show. So I'm not sure if he'd risk the drive with it hard wired. I'll give him a call later on tonight to see what he thinks about the trip. He'd probably show up for Sundays activities. If I can't get him to come down to Jersey. I'll organize a NY meet in his local area. But, I think he really wants a swing at the drag strip. We'll see. -------------------- I will return one day. |

cool cool...Jeff, we should have an NY meet out at Haramin (sp) State Park...its alot like Bear Mountain, but more areas to go, and ITs just north of DWG in NJ.
edit/sidenote: Is that a vortech supercharger kit? Was that what was added to make the saleen mustang in 1989, or did he add that ON TOP of the amazing out of the box saleen performance? Not the stock engine, its fully built. I'll say it again, this thing reaches warp speed. I'll call him and confirm. -------------------- I will return one day. |
