Need to extend the latch hook so it secures the GT4 hood.

how do I go about doing this?

cut off the top. weld a piece that extends it, weld the top back on.

I believe it has to be an Inch taller. Presure2 or 97lestyousay can confirm

its somewhere from a 1/2in to an 1in that you have to extend the hook part of the latch. you just kind of have to try a 1/2in and go from there.

or you can order a gt4 hood latch. anyone know what they sell for anyway?

I extended mine roughly 1 in. The gt4 latch has to be for the lhd gt4 and it runs aroud 100.00
if you can get one. Toyota world told me about 3 months for delivery. I band sawed and belt sanded
a new hook for the safety catch on my latch and had it welded, so I have only one weld on it.

JDM guy made me do it.
