the only supercharger ive heard of is the Rippmods one, that u cant get nemore. u'd have to find it used.
random question, y do u want to get away from a turbo? Your car is near perfection...if anything, sell it and start from scratch. Its a 3sgte isnt it? -------------------- ![]() Kawi Love |

I have two celica's, I have a black 94 5s-fe and then the 95 orange 3s-gte. i want to supercharge the black one since it's the daily driven one. why have 2 turbo ones anyway?

makes sense, i didnt know u had a black one as well. just thought u owned the orange one. When u said that i was like "why the **** would u take that AWSOME 3sgte build out, for a 5sfe supercharged."
were cool -------------------- ![]() Kawi Love |

the supercharger would be hard to find. only heard of a few people actually having it but never seen pics. you could always go 3sge route. it would be a pretty direct swap in a gt and reliable/ decent horse for daily drives. there was a guy selling one previously in the buy/sell forum but i don't know what happened with it. just a suggestion, although i'm figuring your prob. trying to stay away from a swap. good luck either way.

i always see a ton of write-ups about custom turbo setups.. but i rarely see any for custom SC setups... is an SC setup a lot more work?

Mainly, i would like a SC just because the Orange GT is built so well and i love the top end of it, i thought as a DD, a SC would be fun because of the low end power, the sweet sound, i don't want to swap, and it is something different. the other thing i am worried about is the engine. i'm on 198,500 miles on the original engine, tranny, and clutch, so i want it to last

For example, to the best of my researchings, the vortech makes good top end power versus something like a Stillen which is more low end power -------------------- ![]() |

the torque on that is rather amazing. i bet that pulls nicely. i would surley like that but i've heard when u build a 5sfte if u don't use top end parts it can go all wrong really fast

if your at 200k, you have another turbo celica, and you use the car as a daily, then just keep it stock and save some money on gas.
only SC kit was Ripp. they wanted close to 4grand for it. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
