well if you guys remember i had my celica demolished in oct of '06 but now that ive finally got a loan its all coming together...

sidemarkers shaved:
IPB Image

the frame is now straight with a new radiator support, yippee. (if you you close you can see that i am absent a CAI. SOMONE SAWED MINE OUT WHILE IT WAS PARKED AT THE SHOP)
IPB Image

and here is my quarter panel, nice and ready to be painted. but how, you may ask, did that get damaged from a front on collision? oh it didnt. after stepping out of my car i kicked it out of anger seeing that my car was obviously totaled. lol i do indeed have a bad temper :-/

IPB Image

i dont have a picture but my hood scoop is molded on to, looks just like the gt-4 hood, woo!

it should be painted by wednesday, my hood hinges should come in from toyota monday so maybe then or wedneday i'll have new pictures and info up...
GAH i cant wait to drive her again, its been almost a year.

update:
finally got parts in from toyota, i needed the support for the radiator tie bar.. grr. 3 pieces at 21 bucks a piece. but anyways this is how shes looking

got the hood scoop molded on rather nicely
IPB Image

also the windshield is out finally. its crazy that the airbags broke it...
the headlights and everything bolts up rather nicely, however just like any body kit bumper its not the best fitment. we put shims behind the lights to prop them up to help close a gap, i'm assuming that will be ok...

IPB Image

he's buying the paint tomorrow, but is working on a sick Porsche that had a
GEM bella conversion... its awesome, except for the wing which is what my body guy is working on. since its an insurance job he's rushing to get it done cause he needs some money haha and they pay better than me.
hopefully more should come soon... also to add to my arsenal of exterior goodies i have a pair of brand new JDM tails and JDM clear corners... heck yea.

actually the manufacturers make the air bag bounce of the windshield then at you, that way it will hit you correct

I've never heard of any airbag doing this. I'm not calling you a lair, but can I ask for some proof?

driver's airbag should come straight out. I think the way the passenger side airbag is angled though that it would prbably break the windsheild.

it only takes 2/10 of a second for an airbag to inflate and it comes at you at about 200 mph... thing is, it is designed to fully inflate and then start to deflate by the time your head hits it.

94celigts- well i bought it off of a member here for 40 shipped wink.gif sweet deal

pressure2-well it may not be gt4 but its cooler than stock haha i'm pretty sure its off the 5th gen all-tracs? i could be wrong though

tomaz- heck yeah im painting it... i mean the primer has a nice sheen to it but i'd prefer the greenish blue lol. i ordered the paint yesterday, woop! painting: passenger side door/quarter panel, hood, front bumper, roof

slowcelica- i dont have proof other than my windshield being broken where it was and my mechanic telling me that as well. and i guess if anyone else will vouch for me. but yeah i think in my damage pics you can see the passenger side broken right above the airbag. its some scary stuff dude i tried to dodge my airbag. i know thats dumb but you dont think about anything when you're about to t-bone someone other than '****'. lol

look at any car that has had the airbags deploy....pass side is almost always broke.
oh and i went to Wyotech and that is what they told us. I-Car certified people that are teachers HOPEFULLY wouldt lie to us. jus look at how all airbags are angled too, right at the windshield and somehow it hits u in the face

haha man i don't know how this thread got jumped back to life.

i wont hog up the bandwith for my pictures cause i posted in the multimedia section awhile back. its not 100% done, i still need to find mesh to fit into that god-forsaken oversized hole in the front of the bumper and maybe get some rain guard things for the windows. those are wicked. but check out my profile pictures for how she looks now.

any questions? lol just ask away
