 ??? It's supposed to go here, i've got one on both fenders:  Any ideas? Neither side had anything connected to it, just sat on top of the fender. Looked like Toyota painted around it b/c underneath of it is bare metal. Probably something to keep the hood from rattling on the fender.

there is supposed to be a peice of rubber on that metal lip that pushes against the hood to keep it from rattling etc. like alltracman said

I think it should have a rubber piece with it .

Nice, yeah I don't have issues closing my hood, except for the fact that it's been hitting my tie down for the battery. Odd.
