Any specific ideas where to pass the amp wire. In my corolla y was able to d it with my wire harness hole. This celica is so tight, i dont know where to pass. The only option is pass it though the door. Anybody any ideas how you did it, with pics if possible....

Looking at the engine bay standing in front of the car look on the left side. There is a rubber seal with a bundle of wires coming out. I fed my power cable to my battery in the trunk through that rubber grommet. You should be able to remove two nuts and it will come off. Anyway, if you feed it through there the wire will come out in the passenger side foot area and then you can run it under the carpet or something.

i ran mine through the gromet on the drivers side kick pannel. Had to take off the inner splash sheild, but ran it up, zip tied it to the rest of the harness, then ran it right out beside the battery.

You either slit a hole on the main gromment going from engine bay into interior
or Jack the car up . Remove wheel and splash guard. Run wire along the top and into the cabin through an existing grommet.Leads to kickpanel. This is a much cleaner way of running the power as you would not have a power cable running across the engine bay, instead you can drop it straight down next to the battery . |

amps should be turned on and off based on its remote wire. Run a remote wire from your headunit to your amp instead of wiring the remote wire input to a constantly on source.

just a heads up, i was at work today and was brainstorming and figured out that if i wrapped the remote wire around a different fuse then maybe the amp would shut off when the car is off. I picked the wiper fuse since its a bigger fuse and wal-a it worked! but i still dont understand why the sterio fuse has juice even when the car is off....

I always thought the head unit had constant power for clock memory

theres 2 or so wires for head unit power.
12 volt constant (Always on) 12 volt acc. (turn rest of the unit on) there might be more. can't remember right now. -------------------- You say you don't understand how we go dumb, but have you ever been where i'm from?

QUOTE(CaliJeff @ Jul 6, 2007 - 7:38 PM) theres 2 or so wires for head unit power. 12 volt constant (Always on) 12 volt acc. (turn rest of the unit on) there might be more. can't remember right now. This is right. I am going for the left fender to tuck my amp wire. Nasty little plugs to take out tough. It is much neater than the set up i had with my rolla. I cant wait to plug my amp into my stock 6 disc. Thanks for all the suggestions... -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years...
