I'm in the market to rid myself of the noisy duals and go with a catback system of some sort; but I want something thats eye candy as well as performs well... lol laugh.gif

I like exhaust that looks like this:
IPB Image

See how the exhaust is angled just the sightest bit... I really like the look of that.

Here's another pic:
IPB Image

Are there any performance systems that look like this out of the box? Or am I going to have to get the piping modified?

Regardless; I'd still like to see your exhaust setups and if you don't mind sharing; the specs too. (piping diameter, muffler used, etc.)

Thanks guys!

no the only exhaust made for our cars is the GReddy SP1 which are rare, and the GReddy SP2 which you can find on google from online stores for sale. if you want an angled look like that you gotta get a custom one made.

Wow Blink, that's exactly how I'd like mine to end up.

Do you happen to have pictures of your piping?

Here is a shot of the black one's exhaust. 2.25" over-axle with an angled exit.
http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b342/BeM...nt=SUC50051.jpg
(I would post the picture, but my work has Photobucket blocked and my proxy won't allow my to login to it)

I'd get a picture of the Yelli Celi, but the axle-back job the exhaust shop did was pretty bad, so I should have pictures of the new system this weekend. wink.gif

You guys who went under-axle have pictures of hanger placement? Pretty please?

It kinda hard to lay out the exhaust on a floor, the muffler bracket is leaning to the side a bit. The hump right where the v band clamp is should be flat . (over the piece of wood near the down pipe)

You are my savior! biggrin.gif

What happend is that my exhaust guy doesn't want to weld right to the muffler (the muffler has a 5 year warranty and he's afraid that if he welds to it, it will void the warranty.) so I got some clamps of sorts like the HKS muffler has to weld the bracket to. Shes going under the knife tomorrow morning and I'll have her back tomorrow afternoon.

Stock exhaust is over the axle. What 95CelicaST did was a straight through exhaust for better flow. BTW, what rear muffler and pipe diameter you running on Coomer's old celi? Oh, and get a vid up of the car.

Yes, stock is over-axle. I ran under the rear. The muffler is from Vibrant Performance ( http://www.vibrantperformance.com ) and the part number for the muffler is 1049. Piping is 2.5"

Hahaha, looks like you need a camera mount that buddy on this site makes...

jk.

Wow, what a great sound. Thank you for those vid's. I'm definately going to run a setup like that...

For you guys with straight piping; how noticable are the gains?

Oh - and how much does a custom setup like this run a guy, on average...? Less piping, less mandrel bends, I would almost think it wouldn't be too much... but a heads up is always nice.

biggrin.gif Thanks for everything guys, and thats a sweet new addition to the Yeli Celi, 95CelicaST.

Yeah, I was just holding the camera.. oh well. Works for me. If I was trying to show my cluster maybe, but for sound purposes, holding it just fine.

The setup cost me nothing to have installed - because the shop screwed up the previous axle-back, so they did all of this work at no cost... no wonder I always go to these guys. wink.gif

As for a power gain, I noticed a bit more lower-end torque which the Silvertop can definately use.

NICE biggrin.gif Seems to me that you have that same clicking noise from the vvt intake cam gear that I have with my silvertop. Well can't do anything about it since it doesn't affect performance of the engine. So how are you liking Coom's old celi? The exhaust sounds great, in fact it's deeper then mines.

Yeah when I picked her up from Coomer I was worried about the ticking.. thinking maybe the valves needed to be adjusted, but after reading around club4AG it set my mind at ease... however some HKS or Toda cams would be nice smile.gif

The Yelli Celi is treating me well. I had an issue earlier on maybe 4 or 5 days after buying her where I took her for a road trip to Cannon Beach and the steering wheel almost came off.... but I have since fixed that.

I am loving the exhaust. It pairs real well with the velocity stacks. biggrin.gif

Here is mine. I got it redone this week. smile.gif I went for the sleeper look this time, so no more slanted big old exhaust can for me. frown.gif It's nice that cops don't even bother to look. Funny thing is that it's considerably louder than the race Magnaflow can I had before, but sounds way different and deeper. I dig it. The guy installed a 3" 12219 model but it was too loud so I downgraded to the 2.5" 12216 one. The tip is Magnaflow too. smile.gif Everything came out to $307 with redoing the intercooler piping and installing the new intercooler too. tongue.gif

Just discovered the remus exhaust site. And It looks like they have got a exhaust muffler for the ST!
http://www.remus.at/php/index.php
I know It's not a complete link, but browse the site and you'll find It.
I now know what my next paycheck will go to! biggrin.gif

My sports exhaust was installed by the Toyota dealer when the car was one year old, it gives plenty bass:

Netrata, how do you like that Megan Racing muffler? I was planning on getting one for my GT with 2.5" piping.

It's alright. Probably would sound a bit different since the 5sfe has a bigger displacement then the 4age. All in all, i'm satisfied with the results.

And do you have just straight piping or piping with a cat/resonator or both?

Because I'm getting 2.5" piping, with a resonator and keeping my stock cat. It works wonders because it's not too long and has a surprisingly deep tone.

Anyone else have some suggestions to not getting a "rice" sounding system? My method works pretty well but I'd like to hear some other input.
