Had a good and bad day Options

Well, i had a good and a bad day today. The bad started this morning...at around 12 or so, it started to rain out....and when i mean rain..i mean rain so hard i couldnt see across my street. Any ways, this rain started to get harder and harder and it was constantly like that for at least 2 hours or so. So when i left my house, i went into my garage and noticed that there was some water coming in. My garage is a full 25 car underground parking garage under my house. Any ways, so i was like "thats gonna suck if it keeps gettin more ful.."...so as i was leaving i hit the garage door opener and about a 6inche wave of water came in from off th enterance ramp. I left, went out, did some shopping, went to the bank, got some lunch etc...and come back home. As im coming home, there was some roads that were completely shut down due to the amount of rain..theres an apartment building on the way home that had its parking lot completely full up to peoples knees. SO when i got home i looked down the ramp and this is what i saw.

so i went into the house and got my watershoes on and went down into the garage. at the bottom of the stairs this is what i saw.

i figured it would be just at the bottom of the stairs, but i opened the door to the garage and saw this.


it was up to my ankels at some spots.


and i had the 83 sittin down there, so i was kinda pissed and had to move it so it wouldnt come up and into the car..it was close..about 2 inches lower than the door sill



so that was the bad...the good is i finaly got a job. My program in college is a mechanic apprentice course..so i had 3 semesters in class, then we have a year off working to get hours, then another semester in class..so ive been without a job for a few weeks just chillin and relaxing and all, and then today i got a call from the local Infinity/Nissan dealership asking if i wanna work in the shop. Im just gonna start off doing lube and tire jobs...but im gonna probably be movin up to the garage in a month or so. But they said within 3 months time i should b working in the garage. But its still a job where i get full benifits, work 40hours a week, i get discounts at nissan and infinity and i can transfer to other dealerships owned by the same guy if a position becomes available.

So i figure if i can/depending on my pay, i might get a new car sometime soon..keep the celi and build it up a bit, and then have a nicer daily driver. im thinkin i might wanna go with one of the new altama coupes. They look pretty nice, they got a 3.5L v6, 6 spd. And my monthly payments would only be about 3/4 of one pay periods paycheck per month. It would be about $900 a month if i did finanacing or $780 a month if i did leasing...but thats just regular pricing....i would probably be gettin a better deal on it.

its pretty much a G35, but cheaper. same motor on their upgraded model, same tranny, etc.

That water's nothing! In England there are thousands of people without running water right now because of the high rain waters. It's crazy. A water treatment plant in Glouceshire (I think) got flooded so it had to be shut down. Glad to hear nothing got damaged though! Good luck at Nissan. I worked at a Honda (as a lowly porter!) before I got my 'real' job and it was a blast. My cousin was a tech there and that's where I learned most of what I know. I used to have pics of this drag Integra, 10 secs I think that one of the parts guys brought in. Dealerships are fun.

its pretty much a G35, but cheaper.

but the altima is fwd and the g35 is rwd/awd... same tranny?
