Featured Ride Options

Does anyone know how to submit an application for consideration of Featured Ride on 6GC?

its not much of a submission..its more a nomination. The people who have been featured rides have given back to the site, have helped people with their own projects, and are nominated by other members. Its not like you think you have a nice car and ask to be the featured ride..but its more you get chosen for being a big part of the site rather than a member with a nice car.

yea, I have always wondered how people get featured. Now I know. Lagos car was what I initially saw featured when I came to the site and have since been dreaming about the GT-4 front end conversion. Still working on it.

Valo666, thanks for the information. However, since all these other requirements seem so important maybe they should change the title from "Featured Ride" to "6GC Contributor of the month." With all due respect, I don't understand what "giving back," "participation on site," and "helping others" have to do with "Featured Ride." The nomination sounds perfect and I like the idea as opposed to submitting an application. The main focus of the title is the "RIDE" and should not be limited to interior and exterior styling, performance and the like! Is it just me or does anyone else agree with what I have just said???

its featured ride because it is the ride that has benn featured,is there any car that has been a featured ride that looks like ****..no,ask ever one of those featured ride ppl,tehy have all contributed to the featured ride..btw this isnt helping ur campaign to become a featured ride...

CelicaST, you got it all wrong. I am not trying to create a problem or enemies here! I was merely asking a question and making a suggestion which I think I am entitled to as a member! I have received a lot of help from members including you on this site and I appreciate this site for what it is and stand for! But please don't judge me! Though I would love to EARN my way to that spot someday, I am not campaigning to be a featured ride because my car is not in "show" condition. Right now my focus is "go"! I am sorry if my opinion or suggestion offended anyone!

He brings up a good point though. I can see where contributing to the site and helping out other members is definitely a plus and could assist with the nomination, but also you've got to understand someone who is never on here and doesn't participate at all can't really be considered. Of course, then brings the question of how much do you have to do to your 6gc to get nominated? It just seems a bit biased, but can be argued either way. Maybe there should be a thread for voting on featured (or soon-to-be featured) cars and whatnot. I honestly haven't/didn't hear anything about anyone getting nominated, so I'm just wondering how long you'll have to be on here, how much you'll have to contribute and give back, and how many blocks do you have to have under your name for your opinion to matter. Unless of course there is some sort of system for this and I just don't know b/c I'm not a MOD. Just a friendly ramble people, so relax. I've seen how unruley some people get over a single post.
