So...I've noticed some people install BREATHERS on their intake......

What does this do for performance or gas mileage...or better yet...why the hell do it?

I've provided a pic for those that do not know what I am talking about.

The SMALL filter under the blue connector where the intake and the intake manifold meet.

people usually put that on because it's the easiest way to block an unused breather pipe. also, adding that little breather sort of adds a high pitched whistling sound when you rev your engine. although it doesn't gain you any more power or gas mileage afaik.
