guys when im driving along and i come to slow down when i get to second gear i hear a bang or a clunk from the left rear wheel, it doesnt feel any different when i drive but i want to know if anyone our there has the same issues
also i can put my hand on my brake caliper from behind the wheel and it very slightly moves back and forth guy's is this a 6gc normal thing. cheers ![]() |

check the brake pads. mine did something similar and i had a brake pad down to the metal.

ive recently taken my wheel off plenty of brake pad left

Assuming brake pads are good, check for calipers being frozen (even on one slide bushing) by looking for uneven or diagonal wear, and of course check the various bolts are properly torqued down.

Seized calipers are most easily handled with a rebuilt caliper to replace the seized. Otherwise buy a rebuild kit -- dealer may have one with all the necessary seals and bushings, auto parts store almost certainly will.
However, rebuilding it yourself will in all likelyhood involve a great deal of brute force application. Seized bushings are generally not easy to remove, and sometimes impossible this side of a hydraulic press. |

I would say the caliper bolts are probably loose. A seized caliper wouldn't make a banging noise. completely worn pads would probably make more of a scraping or grinding noise.

I had the exact same problem you are describing, took it to the mechanic and he found the rear brake pads had some room to move inside the calipers and were clunking around, he welded a little space onto both brake pads and wham, no more clunking!

which bolts did you have to torque down more? I'm having the same issue after 3 weeks of suspension i put in.
