Hey guys, my CD player has blown, wondering if its possible to send the output of a walkman into the CD player plug on the stock cassette player.

It will be a few weeks until I get a new deck and I'm getting sick of radio already biggrin.gif

Basically is the CD player plug a simple stereo cable?

Edit- Obviously I can just buy a cassette to CD converter (a tape with a cord attached) But I would rather not spend money on something I'll never use again.)

The cord you need is 1/8" male to 1/8" male just be carful with the volume on the walkman you don't need it at max.

Ok thanks for the info. I was under the impression that the cd plug from the back of the tape deck was a custom fitting.

Ok hang on... is there a mini plug on the front of the radio or are you trying to plug into the harness on the back of the radio. If you don't have a plug on the front then there is no way to tap into the harness on the back. You'll need to use the cassette adapter.

There is a 1 inch cassete adaptor on the rear of the cd player.. I would think that it would be tappable? Do you happen to know what kind of cable / which wrapped wires it uses?

Ill open her up take another look and get some pictures in the morning.
