95 celica St Engine Swap, Need to know Options

Hey everyone .. I have a 95 celica St with a blown engine .. thanx to loaning it to a lil brother when i had my 95 Eclipse GST ... i recently was give a 4th gen celica with a fwd 3sge engine .. car was rolled but everything under the hood is fine .... now i'm just learning bout cars but wanted to know if it was posible to take that 3sge engine and put it in my 6th gen celica ... and if so what are gonna be the hard points and what else do i need? ty

You can swap it in, but you will need to swap over almost everything. I would suggest finding another A- series engine to swap in.

well what would ya recomend ...just seems a shame to was a perfectly good 3sge ...but if something else will do bettr then i guess i just sell it and buy another ..

A couple people have done a 1.6L 4A-FE swap, which is almost identical in numbers to the 7A-FE. A lot of ST guys swap in a Silvertop 20V 4A-GE. You can pick one up the front clip for about a grand or so and it drops right in.. except you need a paseo throttle cable and I believe you need to relocate the power steering res.

how bout the 3sgte ... seems like everyone on here seems to think that a good engine ..and would love to have a turbo car again ..... found an egine for like 1300 ..what else would i need to buy if i did that ?money is not realy a prob

1st gen 3SGE out of the 4th gen Celica = ehh motor. It's not worth the time or effort for a 130-140 hp motor. With the same effort and a bit more cash, you can have a 180-200 hp newer gen 3SGE.
