It's a nice car, and pretty quick; but all I've ever heard was the lack of dependability.

go look at rx7's on ebay or autotrader. almost all of them have 60k on the car, and have just had a new motor put into them. those motors simply dont last and have lots of issues. your going to need some deep pockets to keep it running.

yeah i have thought about that i know the motors are a pain sometimes but i have also know some that last that are pushed to the limit and are still running strong i know that taking care of it is a big part of it but thats with any car if you want it to last but im not sure what i want to do but it would be really nice to have one and i wouldnt mind babying it but it is a big change from piston to rotary

i mean we all know they arent built like toyotas :-) but non the less they are really nice cars

IMO, get a rolling RX7 body and drop an ls1 into. We have a local one and it is quick.

I used to have an Rx7.... original engine lasted 180,000km.... then blew an apex seal. alot of fun to drive

the 93-96 rx7's are plagued with electrical problems. It will cost you more then the car is worth to fix

ahhh the FD, FYI....had it and FC.....IMO the FC is funner to drive, its slower stock for stock but with an fc i dont get scared to "have fun" with the FD i was always nervous about hurting it (had only 1300 miles on motor). Its quick and nice looking but if your scared of a VERY EXPENSIVE car to maintain (this will only happen if you push it very hard of course) dont get the FD.....The FC was the most reliable rotary ive ever had, it took a beating and never gave sass...
