So I have access to having an exhaust custom made and I was wondering, what would be the best size piping to upgrade to? Everything I have right now is stock, including everything under the hood. The only performance part I have coming is a CAI. What would you guys recommend upgrading to? Also does anyone know of a nice, deep sounding muffler that would go good on the end?

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Mine is a 2.25" and I wouldn't go any more than 2.5". One thing to keep in mind, when I had mine done, they had to remove my resonator because the stock piping on the resonator was too small. I'm not 100% if you will have to do the same, but just wanted to let you know because if you have a new resonator put on, it will be more money.

2.5" it is then, thanks. Any suggestions on mufflers? I've heard GReddy and Apexi are the way to go for a good deep sound??

be very careful though if you go too big your car will sound really ricey. as for me i just had my exhaust from under my ass and back 2.25 and in front of that little bigger than stock. (just a tad bigger) it all comes out to an apexi n1 it sounds like a supra (89) going around 3.5K rpms when i'm at 5K. nice and deep

You know what you can do aswell? If you go on youtube you can watch videos of exhaust systems. Of course it will sound different on your car, but it will give you a general idea of what it is going to sound like...

Apexi N1's sound great but are a little too pricey for me at the moment.. Is there anything else that sounds half decent that is less than $200 or so?? I've listened to a lot of exhaust tones on youtube but nothing seems to be really deep sounding, more ricey. Any ideas??

EDIT: I see a lot of people are going with a Magnaflow muffler? I'm looking for a really deep sound so I'm not really sure what one to get. Any sound/video clips or part numbers would be great if anyone knows.

Nice. I'm seeing those apexi's for like $250-$450.. Should I be looking on ebay or other sites for a muffler?

I'd say yes to the ebay question, but be careful. Make sure that what is listed is what you are getting. If the price is too good to be true it probably is. I noticed that there are alot of mufflers on ebay for like .99 cents, keep in mind, there is a reson for that...
