With my motor and tranny having a little over 207,000 miles, will I be able to keep the same tranny and use the mr2 spyders lsd? Or should I just get the e153 tranny? Thats if I can find one with lsd. I mean I don't have any tranny problems, its just that I would like to know what to do when swapping the 3s in this spring.

miles dont matter.
how does it shift? does it grind at all? notchy? if any of those apply, then you should think about swapping trannys. unless your planning on racing your car, i wouldnt bother with the e153. the s54 will work just fine, providing it is in good working order when you swap, and is installed correctly, along with the appropriate clutch setup. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

The tranny runs great. No grinds what so ever. So my synchros are still in good shape. I was just afraid that the little bits and peices in the tranny is worn. I think it is a bit notchy due to the shifter though.
