I know this isn't like anything major... I just lost control and went plowing into a sidewalk curb.

But its just shocking because my car's kit sits pretty low to the ground, and its fiberglass of all things... And yet I went head on into that curb, it did not break. I swear I'm the queen of getting lucky when it comes to this kit... There have been SO many times where if I were not more careful, I could have f***ed it up royally.

But yeah... Hit a patch of ice on a down hill turn, I guess I was taking it a little faster then I really should have, lost control and went straight for the curb. (thank god no one was on the sidewalk at the time - not that I went over it anyways...) Miraculously, the kit went up onto the sidewalk, and my rim took all of the impact of the curb. I dont know how the hell that happened, but damn... I'm friggen lucky as hell, that could have been REAL ugly.

And of all rims to get the worst of it, it was my bent rim laugh.gif Poor thing has been through hell by now, but when it hit, it broke off a pretty big chunk of the metal, so I'm gonna havta replace it now. And then my sealing on the front lip cracked... but well.. it was already pretty cracked to begin with... I'll get pictures of that rim... its pretty nasty lol

But this whole ordeal did leave me scared sh**less I'll give ya that lol My first "car accident" lol I was so shaken up by the whole thing the extremely nice guys helping me, offered to drive my car into my work parking lot... I'm obviously fine though laugh.gif Just a bump on the head haha

But yeah...

I HATE SNOW!

EDIT: Pictures...

I'm surprised you keep the 17's on durring the winter, with the crappy weather we get in WA. kindasad.gif But it's good to hear that it was only minor damage to the car and your doing alright.

I'm glad you're ok Sabrina, so out of all this you only got scared and that's all ? considering you had to replace the bent wheel anyways lol you're luckier than I am, I hit pot hole on the road at 85 MPH with my new wheels like a year ago, let's just say that the wheels weren't consider new after that lol, but at that speed I can't complain about the results, so I guess I'm kind of lucky too

Well normally its not even necessary because winter here isn't even half as bad as it has been this year. Most the time its a pathetic lil dusting maybe twice in the season, and if there's more then that, it's gone within a few hours because of the rain... Its more hassle then its really worth, and in my case, putting the stocks on makes the car sit a tad lower which is not good with the kit sitting low... Ive had more scarping damage with the stocks then I ever did with the 17's, and not only that in the snow i'll be just as good a snow plow with that front lip.

This is when I different vehicle would come in handy T_T

Oh man same thing happened to my rim when it got bent... There was a pothole in the MIDDLE of the freeway of all places and of course I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and BAM! tongue.gif I'm kinda glad it was that rim that got the worst of it, it was really annoying cuz it messed up the smoothness of the ride lol It needed to be fixed anyways, but hey dont havta worry about that now haha

Yeah agree on that one as well ^

my top however is a piece of junk because its so old and in bad shape, so it doesn't do so great when it comes to the rain... My car fogs up so much now because its so moist inside of it frown.gif

But thats why I'm getting a new one in summer tongue.gif Hopefully leakage will cut down a lot more, and not only that itll look A LOT better.

wow, that is lucky, my friend drove my car into a snow bank the other day.... trying to teach 'em to drive... yeah... pretty good eh? lucky it was a 3 foot wall of powder. yeah the only reason i like snow is it slicks the road up just enough to keep people off it so you can go drift.... heh... but i did tap my rear right wheel doing it... broke the wheel bearing....sigh... live and learn...
