yes. put a drop of oil in the 160 and see if the numbers go up.

ya if they go up then it's a ring issue if not then it's a burnt valve right

pretty much. you can also put like 150lbs of air in at TDC via air compressor and see if your coolant bubbles - headgasket. or hear air from either the intake manifold or exaust manifold - valves.

i hope to god it's not a HG cuz i just got done putting a new one on. i did the couple drops of oil in the cylinder and it read 190

i just did a ring job does that make a difference. and i haven't driven the car yet but i have started it for like a min or two.

so you jsut did the rings? you need to break them in and seat them. the combustion will force the rings against the hone and seal after a few hundred miles. did you re-hone the cylinder walls?

do you think bringing it to the dyno w/o a break in period will be a good idea? i replaced the rod bearings as well?
