Hey all
I hate people

IPB Image

This was on the SIDEWALK side of the street too. No scuffs. As you can see the paint is damaged as well. I dunno when I will be able to get it repaired; what can I do in the mean time so that it does not rust?

I am completely sick of people not having any respect. It must have gotten kicked in or something. Both tires on that side were almost flat too. At least they are holding air...

I know someone is going to ask- no, I don't have any enemies. It's just what I get for living in the University District. Last year my car and my roommate's were broken into: my drivers side window got busted, system gone, still haven't re-tinted the window.. and they took my ashtray full of change. Roomies car got broken into over an old cell phone, and robberies seem to occur all the time around here whether walking down the street or someone breaking into a house. I get to deal with drunk hbkabfeahwbfaw student vandals or crack addicts looking to make a couple of bucks. Or fourth graders throwing rocks at an elderly couple. Just the big city I guess..

Sorry for the worthless info. Gah. /rant
So, uh, anyone have a silver celi with the right fender for sale?

at least its the fender not the rear quarter pannel.

You can just take the fender off and drop it off at a auto body repair shop and have them work on it, instead of your whole car gone for a couple weeks.

Yes people are ass hole some time, i can not imagine driving a exotic sports car and have it damaged. mad.gif

Well it's not a crease up top but the paint is chipped away. Paint's messed up along the lip of the fender too, and in more than one area.

Has anyone had a similair repair done? Body work is always expensive... any rough estimates?

Unfortunatly my lease is not up until the beggining of September. I can't say that it's a bad neighborhood; it's like half students half families. Neighbors are really nice smile.gif and sympathetic as well. Next year I'll be getting a place away from campus and commute.

I wish I could get a beater but honestly I cannot afford to with the debts piling up. But hey, the 'rents are paying off the interest on my school loans every month (yay for them biggrin.gif ) so I'll only have the principle against me when I graduate. You know, only 75k or so. HA.

well, you may even be able to plunge it out... (use a plunger and a glass of water) As for the paint chip, any kind of primer will keep it from rusting. Even the cheap spray primer. But be careful with that stuff, If sprayed too close, it'll run. if sprayed to far, it'll f- up your existing paint job.

If you can't afford to fix it now, *Personaly* i would try to plunge it out, or take it off and push it out, then tape off that section where the chip is and spray prime it. Use alot of tape and tape of a larger area. just use a SMALL amount, IE: just 1; half second spray. You can let it sit for ten min. and spray a silver coat over it so it's not so noticeable...

It's not a permenent solution, but it'll hold till you get the money to have it spot painted by a professional.

This isnt the correct answer as to how to fix it, but it's what i'd do if money was tight. Plus if it going to be subject to future punishment, why spend hundreds of dollars just to do it again.

But when you move out, You gotta get it fixed up to all its glory again!! biggrin.gif

gutted for you man... i hate it when stuff like that happens. put some primer on or buy a paint stick and cover over the chipped part temporary.

I ALWAYS park in two spaces at the mall and up side streets in the city to keep car away from freeks.

Hope you get it sorted buddy

I just moved and this is one of the main reasons why I chose the house I did. 2 car garage and 2 car driveway. Hope it's not too expensive to fix. My car hasn't been vandalized yet, I take a lot of extra care to park far away from everyone and what not but I know eventually it's going to happen.

seriously, I would go sniper status with a pellet gun and pump some in someone's @$$ who walks by and even looks at my car twice after something like that. Here, I have had my 240sx get broken into and almost caught the person. The police actually came and took finger prints (which is unheard of). The next day (yeah, I know who the hell did it, I am not stupid when it comes to this $#!t, yet I couldn't accuse because I didn't have proof), I went to this guy's house across the street and told him what happened and what I planned on doing to whoever it was once I found out. Surprisingly, he called me and told me how he found it behind the neighbor's trash. So I did get it back and since then, no one has messed with my car. Plus any time I could be out front smoking a cigarette and everyone knows that. Any time at random... 24hours a day... (except when I work, but my car is with me then).
