TEAM NGC Toyota Car Show in Downey California 4/19/2008, Event at Penske Toyota!! Options

Hey...

Just wanna let u guys know....Team NGC will be holding a car show at Penske Toyota in April

I know some of u guys came down to represent!

We are giving an opportunity for Corollas and/or Toyota related vehicles(stock or modified) a shot at winning a trophy.

Just like last time prizes from the raffle drawing (sponsored by Bestbuy, Pioneer, and Penske Toyota)

FREE FOOD (hosted by In-Out)...yeah Free Food!! Thats always important! lol

We will be allowing about 80 or more cars/trucks at this show.

The award categories such as exterior, interior, best of each model entered.. (remember to have your own class model award we need at least 5 of that model entered to create your own class)

Registration will open the beginning of March and will last till April 9, the rule still stands for payment registration: If you do not pay ahead of time via paypal, e-check, or check you cannot enter your car in the show.

The cost to enter is $6.00


Raffle ticket cost TBA.

The money from registration will be used in conjunction for paying for trophies, prizes and whatnot.

Hahaha Ok guys, if we're really going to go to this we need more interest. I think I would be more interested if we hadn't of just had a big meet like 2 weeks ago. We still have a few weeks before the meet so that gives me enough time to get a spread sheet made up haha jk. Going to car shows like this make me sad. I just say to myself.."dammit..if only I had a nice paint job ". Which is why I only go to night time car shows . Just watch guys! I'm gunna get my paint job soon! (hopefully :x)

It's going to be hard to compete against a bunch of cars built specifically for show.

Nokturnal has no Sixth Generation Celicas on the team. They are comprised of all different types of vehicles, but mainly 4 doors or SUVs.

Well it's a car show, and people attend to look at nice cars. The registration is already limited. I would just hate to waste their space and disappoint people who attend. If it was unlimited registration, then I wouldn't be concerned. As far as they know, we are representing sixth generation celicas. What people see there, is what people will think of sixth generation celicas in general. I would like the group to be represented well.

Uh... Penske Toyota is like 20 minutes from my house. You live 30 minutes away from me, and 40 minutes away from Penske. That's kinda out of the way hahaha. The list as it stands right now. Shall be a good time. We can meet BY my place, but not AT my place hahaha. There isn't enough room on the street for everybody as I live at a dead end, and parking is very very limited. There's a tapioca place right down the street, or we could meet at Whittier Narrows recreation area. I live right next to that, I can see the golf course from my house. I have informed airfron about this meet, and he is coming from West Covina area, so it would be out of his way to caravan with you guys too. But then again, he's right in the middle of it all. 20 minutes from my house, 20 minutes from Penske Toyota, and 20 minutes from Marco's house, so it's up to him what he wishes to do. Whatever is easier for him.

**UPDATE**
Here are more details of the meet. I have spoken with RollaOne and was informed that many of the other vehicles will be in minimum of show condition. We are still able to register our Celicas if we wish to do so. The price to register is $6 per vehicle, we have 8 right now, a total of $48(thanks Yuchen) so far. The price to spectate is free of charge.

If we all register, then it would be best to arrive together, and I assume we would have to arrive prior to the beginning of the event to have everything set up.

hell yeah! if you notice...if we all roll up to the place EVERYONE will look at us park our cars.....its good because we are all one type of celica gen and everyone will be like OH $hit! a celica team COOL! lets go look!......and usually everyone else rolls up with different cars so its like..ehhhh its just a car and no team ..its just for looks......kinda like when we went to the chino hills meet and everyone was all 7th gens and were like ok..we all look the same and didnt really bother looking at the non-celica cars...untill they saw us 6gens and they were like daaaammmn they have a team/club also, THATS COOL! hahaha ....

If you rather meet directly at the dealer, that is up to you. The park is a SEPARATE part of the meet. We will be taking pictures there BEFORE the car show. I was just trying to gather everybody up before the meet so we can all roll in together. It is physically impossible to find one location where we all can meet without having atleast one member drive past the dealer on the way there. If we had it south of the dealer, then all the northern members would have to pass the dealer. If we had it west of the dealer, then the eastern members would have to drive past the dealer. So on and so forth. Anywhere we meet is going to be further for some members than others.

The distance that i will drive to attend this meet is of very low importance to me. I bought my car because I like to drive it .

I like to drive my car too, but I think it's about to blow up . My CV axle can't wait anymore, I'm pretty sure I'll have to replace it no later than Sunday. I really wish I had more time to do it. I also need to fix my exhaust leak and bring my car to the paint shop. Aww poo.

Oh haha, I've had a new axle sitting in my garage for about a month now, I just have been busy and preoccupied. Yesterday morning I had to take my dog to the vet and put him to sleep . It's ok, he was already very old.

As for paint, I'm going to keep it black, but I'm not sure if I want to keep it the good ol' black 202, or change it to black 212. Black 212 is what they use on the Lexus LS460 and 600hL models. I'm pretty picky about colors for someone who is colorblind. The Celica is going to get a complete restoration before the next big meet I host. That will definatly be the SoCal meet of the year, you will not want to miss.
