Anyone eer use a turbocharger by XS Turbo? Are they any good? They are alot cheaper than Garett but Im not sure if they last long... Anyone used em before ? thanks

do they make their own turbos? A Friend of mine was using one of the manual boost controlers n didnt like it at all... he couldnt get consistant preasure out of it n was constantly tweaking it... but I my self am planning on using one of the electronic ones in the near future..

Is this one of those cheap $150 turbos from ebay? don't get it, I've heard plenty of horror stories about them.

Yeah i think they sell on ebay... like what exactly is it with a cheap trbo that is bad. What part breaks faster or not quality material used or what?

Ive had mine for a while now...no problems....will it last idk what will go first idk all I know is knock on wood so far so good.
Im not saying it matches up to greddy or anything...I still dont completely trust it but if u look at up my dyno..in the sticky under forced induction...You will see the turbo will work. This post has been edited by supershannon77: Apr 1, 2008 - 6:18 PM -------------------- |

I read some where that as long as you use an oil restrictor on the turbo, it will be okay. To be honest I wouldn't trust something that was soo cheap, BUT if I had some money stashed some where why not? I mean buy it to see how it does, but when it goes then its time for something that was made to last.

ive heard and seen nothing but bad fitment issues with XS power stuff, usually, its total crap(sorry to anyone with it) but the dp for the 3s-gte was shocking, the intercooler kit they make is also crap, their dp for a skyline is such badly made it fouls the actuator so boost creep and spikes occur as the wastegate cant open fully, so if they cant make a dp, id steer well clear of a turbo.. like the saying goes, "cheap is cheap for a reason"

I've heard stories of the entire inlet housing splitting in half, and it was a clean break! The two pieces were glued together.

Notice the lack of a nut that holds the compressor on? It fell off! Thats XS Kuality right there. OOOH... I see it now. I couldn't tell at first. I was too dazed from trying to figure out how fast the wheel was spinning I missed the nut. lol...

i hear bad things about turbo xs. i have a turbo xs mbc and im not sure i like it that much...

XSPower and Turbo XS are totally different things if I'm not mistaken. I think Turbo XS actually makes OK products, or at least I remember lagos saying good things about their knock detection light.

TurboXS is a legit company that makes good products.
