to tell you the truth i don't really know,
but i think it was cuz it needed more coolant, you have to check every often the level of coolant on it,
did you had water or coolant on it?
if so, how much?

try rockauto.com they have 2 for sale for your 1994 GT; one's for 126.99 and the other is for 137.99

I've purchased many items from rockauto for my previous car including a water pump, exhaust parts, clutch set, and other misc. parts. All...ALL were good solid quality parts that were perfect fits.

You can get a oem radiator off of ebay for no more than $120 shipped. For the Koyo Radiator, you are looking at about $365 shipped, which is around what I paid for mine. If you have a GT, make sure the one you are getting is for a GT. The Koyo radiators for the ST are slightly cheaper and may mislead someone who is desperate for saving a few bucks. I think an all aluminum radiator is well worth it, though be smart in choosing an aftermarket radiator cap for your Koyo rad, which you will need. I was stupid and blew $37 on a D1 Blitz radiator, because it was the cheaper of the only two available through ebay for this radiator. Though LewFX told me he had got one for $5 for his Koyo, which as a result, made me feel stupid. Hope this helps.

just to correct this thread for future search purposes.

Raditors do not blow because you have too little water in it.

They blow because they age and can no longer handle the pressurize water.

they can also blow if you have a head, head gasket, or block leaking combustion pressure into the cooling system. generally though that will blow apart an older already failure prone radiator.
