Sorry, I wasn't sure what it's called, but I have the original remote startup thing for my 94 GT. It's banana shaped with three buttons. One button is green and there are two equal sized small black buttons. I figured out that the green button is a toggle button for lock/unlocking the car. But I can't figure out how to remotely start it. I searched on the forum, but didn't see anybody with the same one as me. I tried every combination of buttons but I can't figure it out. I'm thinking it's not programmed correctly, but I wouldn't know. Can anybody shed some light on this for me?

since the celica never came with remote start orginally, your remote/system must be after market installation.
So we can not possible give you an answer to your problem, unless you give us a picture or model number on your remote/alarm. From all the remote start systems i've seen, they all just have a 6 point star on one of the buttons. If you push and hold that, it will start the car. If your car doesnt start, then its probably not installed or is used as another functions. |

For my autostart it has to be in "reservation mode" which when i turn off my car, it still stays on until all doors are closed. it's to ensure that your car is in neutral and all windows are up and that ur parking brake is up. This way if u were to auto-start it, your car wno't jerk into a wall or another car even worse.

well i would not recommend remote start for any car. i have witness my friend when we had that accident, he got lucky i was there.
his car is a 07 civic si. when we were going back to my cousins house to pick up his car, he was standing in front of his car and his keys were in his pocket, well i guess somehow the car started and ran to him. well i first thought that someone was stealing his car. then i wondered why he was pushing his car and he ended up being pinned between 2 cars the i rush to his car and tried to stop it. manual transmission cars usually use 1st gear as parking gear. thats why the car moved because it is in gear and his car was parked on a slope. it still moved even the e brake is engaged. this incident made me decide no matter what ill never get a remote start on my car! -------------------- God made man....
