How stupid is this? It'll only lead to provoking more people to race on the street or underground, and the stupid thing is that Canada, especially Ontario is becoming way more strict upon street racing...

i doubt they will pass the bill fully. No matter what, places like Cayuga and Mosport will stay open no matter what. The race tracks in Ontario are multi-million dollar facilities, they wont just shut their doors and close up. If they wanna do somethin to cut down on green house gasses, how about doing somethin smart, like digging the proposed tunnels along the 401 in windsor and recyle the emssions gasses, or bury the gaurdianer express way in toronto and recyle the gasses there? How is a few guys runnin C12 for 10 seconds at a time, maybe 5 times a weekend, maybe 20 weekends of the year more harmfull to the enviroment then all the yuppies in richmond hill driving around in their H1 hummers or Landrover SUVs going to get a liter of milk from the corner store 4 houses away?? or the what?...4 million cars on the road daily on the 401?

That's what I'M sayin', its ridiculous because track racing only contributes to 1% of the pollution, and only happens during the summertime, where planes contribute to the other 99% and run all-year round...They better not pass this bill though seriously.

I know we have alot of really proud canadians here; but because of this; i have to say that your government is gay. They wont allow pro racing? Then make crap up about health issues associated with leadded fuels when they've done no testing?

Yeah, ledded fuel is fairly unhealthy, but your not supposed to drink the stuff. Same as unleadded... duh...

So Canada is switching the civilian population over to a new fourm of fuel found here:

so that they can waste all this fuel and money on the IRAQ war effort:

Meanwhile, Japan is doing this:

while i'm sitting here doing this:

What the hell is wrong with our govt's?

i think that picture of the guy in the boat with the machine gun is over-stating our navy. Last time i checked it was a guy named Jim from Renfru sittin off the coat of Newfoundland in a canoe with a BB gun.

Personaly, now that im back working at a performance shop, i know that drag racing isnt dead. Last week alone i sold 4 sets of mickey tompson drag tires, and filled 8 20LB bottles of nitrous. Drag racing will never die out. And even if they do ban ledded fuels in racing, most of the guys i know now are running either E85, alchohol, methanol, or C12. And im pretty damn sure that the fumes from any of thouse fuels are probably more deadly and worse for the enviroment then ledded fuel.

actualyl I think. acohol and E85 burn very veryyyyyyy clean...since alcohol is a nice burning fuel..but that's another story...

Nice tidbit..ethanol is actually the alchol in alcoholed drink.
