Hey all, I'll try to make this short anyways after taking out the IACV and cleaning it I put everything back and installed the new TB gasket on my car after starting it up it now idles at 1900rpms, before it was 1100rpms I'm not sure what went wrong I though after cleaning it out your idle was suppose to be lower not higher ?? I installed everything correctly and I doubled checked everything. Any ideas on what could of happened ?? Or do I just have a bad IACV and need to get a new one ?? Anyways let me know what you guys think it could be Thanks. frown.gif

On the bottom of the throttle body. You have to take the TB off to get to it.

You can't swing $100? Use a credit car if you have to.

Yeah, I sometimes forget what it was like back in the teen and college days when $100 was a lot. And I should remember that many on this site are in this age group. Sorry, I am just an old 31-yr-old married guy and $100 is not a lot these days, esp. with a mortgage, car payments, bills, entertainment, etc. Oh to be young, innocent, and broke again, like in high school and college.

make sure theres no air leaks. spray around where you worked with brake cleaner, it'll change its idle some if there is a leak when the cleaner gets sucked in.

I can just that I don't plan on keeping this motor that long, I just bought a new IACV anways and I don't make $100 dollars an hour or else I would be rolling in a MKIV Supra. smile.gif

I think u just hit it right on the nail Bitter I believe theirs a leak on one of the hose I didn't see, its because it was leaking from the intake side so it wasn't visible to me a small leak. frown.gif

Thanks for all the help guys I'll see if I can get that leak fixed today and install my new IACV when it comes. thumbsup.gif
