Who's down for a mini meet somewhere dead in the middle of Houston, Austin and San Antonio on I-10? Add yourself to the list and let's start offering suggestions of places. This would just be a day trip - no need for hotels etc.

If my car is 100%. I would suggest a meet in the west hill country of Austin off hwy 71. Great roads out there - supra guys go out there for their texas meets. VERY fun roads. Good setting for a texas meet video. smile.gif

.

I know what you mean about 100%. I think I finally got mine there today - playing with the vacuum lines for the boost gauge, BOV and one other one I got the car to sing [quietly kindasad.gif still don't exactly understand that one?].
I'm so ready for some hills [well truthfully I need one more week to be sure all the coolant leaksfixed up].

ONly thing I don't like about 71 is how bad the cops are on there - and that's a big thing. But I was thinking about the SA and Houston guys meet at I-10 and 71 so that would make sense.

HA! I found an avatar~ It's He-Man biggrin.gif He's my step-borther ya know...

Him and my other Step-Bro Weeed-Man wink.gif

Yup, as kids my mom's would always tell us to stay away from my transvestite uncle; She-Man....

And As i got older, i used to party with my cousin E-Man, But he was busted down at a "rave" style party tongue.gif For unknown reasons of corse~

If you have ever called an exterminator, then you know my brother-in-law; Flea-Man~

Yeah, Not to mention all the super-hero's are extended family too... BatMan, IronMan, SpiderMan, SuperMan... Pretty much any name that ends with man is somehow related to me...

And while i'm on the subject of family..

Bill-Clinton is a uh...7th cousin to me i believe.... kindasad.gif

Okay, I'm going to call some local shops (i have the number to this kind of Trix-Shop, i guess) and find out what the hell is around 77 @ I-10. (half-way)

although there seems to be a faily decent sized city at 71 (Columbus) but what the hell is out there; IDK...

Maybe a campground or something? I'd like to go camping personally... Cheap and entertaining. We could sing coom-by-ahh~ kindasad.gif nevermind....

But really though, Rather that or we call a police station and request a street for our purposes laugh.gif yeah-right~

If nobody has found anything fun to do yet I propose we go to the tracks in Seally and run for $hits and giggles biggrin.gif I hear they have both drag racing and a little road courseIPB Image Been meaning to check it out for a few years ever since TX2k7 Supra Drags.
Snap - If this works out this way and you end up showing up for the meet: I'm calling you out - 3 runs best 2 of the 3 with however many practise runs and cool off time necessary before hand biggrin.gif Just a friendly competition - don't take this any way but the way I mean it - it's all in fun.

I'm totally down - there's alot more than a 97% compression late model 5S still left on that car [tuned custom header/full exhaust, perfect set of sensors, electronics etc and my damn rims!!!!]. We'd need to rent one of those $65/month garages next to mine but I'm down.

Plus it gives me time to attempt to get this money back for my 5sfte, maybe then it'd be a bit more fun to play wink.gif

Hey, Death, wanna see if we can find your old car and swap the motors? biggrin.gif

I'm totally down - there's alot more than a 97% compression late model 5S still left on that car [tuned custom header/full exhaust, perfect set of sensors, electronics etc]. We'd need to rent one of those $65/month garages next to mine but I'm down.

BTW, we need to set up movie nights too: Iron Man, Indiana Jones, and Batman.

No doubt gotta be able to beat feet at a moments notice wink.gif That and it's spread out over both of my houses and some wires need to be replaced [as always].
It's a fully functional Recording studio: 550Watts in THX and 550Watts in Dolby 5.1 [can double up if you like biggrin.gif ]+ monitors and standalone amplifiers. It will decimate all who dare to opposeIPB Image
And need I tell you I 100% built it from ground up using chicken wire and some sh*t [MR <-get it? You're cool wink.gif ] I buy very little when I do projects - I can design and build anything so far.

Yeah, no doubt.

Golly- spread between both your houses laugh.gif

Why does that not surprise me? rolleyes.gif

But for a fact, i have seen some of your wares (remember i was rooting through those boxes when i was going to run everything thru your computers? and then the infamus search for a Power Adaptor frown.gif took way too much effort to plug in a network router) laugh.gif

You've deff. got some solid schett. but it'd take more than a moment to put it all together laugh.gif

Let me rephrase that, that last statment was incorrect.

It would take only a moment for you to assemble it. But it'd take days to get it all in one place and ready for assembly laugh.gif

[/FACTS]

Hell maybe snap will roll out for this one too.

If my car is 100%. I would suggest a meet in the west hill country of Austin off hwy 71. Great roads out there - supra guys go out there for their texas meets. VERY fun roads. Good setting for a texas meet video. smile.gif

Maybe just drive a little slower?

Well, that's why me and Death are trying to find us a track. We'd legitimately like to play with our cars. Not to be confused with the "S.racing", because we're trying to rent a track for the day or something~

I'm pretty sure all the Houston members would be down for a good track road course with all of us biggrin.gif Ya'll just remember how crazy my ass is, and how good i am at body work laugh.gif (watch out! rolleyes.gif ) kidding im just kidding! tongue.gif

mod's please note i said "track road course", not street course. like the one found at lonstar motorsports park. biggrin.gif

HAHAHAHAHAHAHH......holly sh!t.........HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

I have no idea why that struck me so funny.

anyways, we need to get a date for this b!tch soon as we can do that, i can conferm Panda,

Id be down for playing around on a track, but i can almost promise that everyone will stomp me. I might dare say that D-Man could beat me, not because hes lighter, because less is wrong with his car. Springs are still bad, front motor mount still needs to be replaced, tires are going bad, and both CVs need to be replaced. not to mention my clutch is going out, and im pretty sure that my tranny is going to need to be rebuilt pretty soon.

still waiting for income tax check and that little extra that the Gov is send out with it in May, also need to sell an Auto tranny and ill be able to have most all that fixed, but sigh..........one day smile.gif
ill stomp you then biggrin.gif

i keep hearing this...

i just dont understand how though confused.gif

I had one took alltheway apart this weekend... The motors weigh like 5 lbs each... Gears weigh less than that... And there is barely any framing to it...

But i'm deff. running heavy with BoxZilla in the trunk, and "Spare the Tire" in the backseat rolleyes.gif I've named my tire laugh.gif

But honnestly, i'm feelin rather confident in my celi and her abilities. (gotta go fcuk with that EGR valve though~ i hate seeing that "codelight activated" crap)

Short of the turbo'd guys, i'm thinking i got everyone beat.

OH lets also have a stoping contest, who can stop the fastest in the shortest distance laugh.gif (i gotta win something tongue.gif )

Same car I think almost rear ended me the other day [no dragons tho - maybe a new addition?].
I'm in agreement - cool that we have the same car and you wanna say hi but don't do it with the bumpers please. My car has a TON of money in it and Celica fusion will kiss all that goodbye. kindasad.gif

I slept much of that day laugh.gif
I'm down - need to know what day thos ASAP before the GF decides on something to do that day and I get locked in. -She's feeling a little burned out on the whole car scene ATM. Can't say I blame her either - gotta be good to the ones who don't bitch about the constant car fixations - they are truly few and far between. biggrin.gif

Resteraunts are nasty - I don't care if it's Morton's. I used to be a chef and the things I could tell you...
Why worry about it? If it doesn't make you sick and it tastes good who cares? I'll eat COW, Pig, Cat Dog, Roach W/E as long as it tastes good and I don't have to recognise individual anatomical items.

Although, something that might disturb some of you others; When this chineese place brought in that slicer, i noticed a Cook Book sitting in the rear of their truck. It was tittled "101 ways to Wok your Dog"

lol. I eat at the Pho Saigon downtown whenever I'm in the neighborhood, otherwise it's Pho Danh by Hong Kong market offa Veterans and Bammel North Houston, or Pho Tran offa Veterans Memorial and Falling Creek (?). One of these days, I'ma open up a pho restaurant and call it Pho China, or Pho This, or something catchy.

As for CB, I'll talk to the Supra guys to see when they'll be willing to go.

How about Pho Q?
What would be even funnier would be to have me working behind a picture window as the featured chef with you behind the cash register laugh.gif
I could get some of those fake "chinese" buck teeth, stuffed dogs and cats, remote controlled rodents running around, a severed arm with a health inspector badge on the shoulder... I could have fun with this laugh.gif

And since we seem to be waaay off topic [as usual] I'll bring us up to date with this:

as for CB, im with Death on this one, although wifey was happy to get to go to Deaths place with out having to sit around and watch us work on cars all night, i think she might not be fully over the constant bombardment of Meets we have been having. And as Death said, got to keep the ones that dont complain and are even into it a little around. biggrin.gif So put me down as a maybe for that one.

This is just a feeler as the San Antonio guys would have to drive a little farther. Austin should be the same distance, little different route.
I'm still up for meeting whereve there might be a Dairy Queen [which used to mean anywhere in Tx kindasad.gif ] or whatever.

was this your mighty "white glove slap"?

I'm sorry, i didnt even notice this one, i'm still so damn stock that a race is a joke to me. I'm still getting used to this low HP (compared to what i've had wink.gif ) and is the reason that i'm holding tight to the 5sfte idea.

Damn claudia needs that job already rolleyes.gif

Plus at the end of july, i should have a garage; and i'm going to make an attempt to go out to tomball, and hope my old shead is still intact. Becuase if so, then i'll have a sh!t load of tools and supply's to start fixing us all up. wink.gif

Also, if all plays out well (my old shead hasn't been stolen, and i get the garage) i've found a local place that'll mix up our OEM spec paint, provided that we have the code. biggrin.gif And pretty cheap. (i think it was a pint for like $17) no need for buckets when we just need a few sprays smile.gif

That means no more black and white (or red and yellow) bumpers laugh.gif , Bondo work can be done on ALL of our dings, dents, and other imperfections, and we can gennerly get all of our sh!t back up to beautiful spec. biggrin.gif

but this is hoping that my sh!t is still there... (but it'd take a pretty big truck at about 15+ mph to get into that damn shead i built tongue.gif ) but tomball folk have big trucks frown.gif

lets hope and see, lets hope and see rolleyes.gif

Austin/SA guys - This is really a feeler to see what you guys are willing to do. I'm more interested in seeing as many of you get together as possible than I am going to the Seally track. Altho that would be ideal for a car meet I don't want any of you to drop out because of it. What are ya'lls thoughts?

Where: ?Seally Track?
When: ?June 7th?

sounds good to me. im in for Seally on june 7th.

This is just a feeler as the San Antonio guys would have to drive a little farther. Austin should be the same distance, little different route.
I'm still up for meeting whereve there might be a Dairy Queen [which used to mean anywhere in Tx kindasad.gif ] or whatever.

I used to eat at pho danh off veteran memorial, when I worked over there. Sucks they never took credit cards though. And the pho saigon in sugarland was pretty tasty. But my fav is still Hoang My off Scarsdale. Best evar.

i think the track would be a great place for us all to meet up. it has a dyno and all.
i know Zero will drive the 100 miles to meet us, and esp since it'll be a "celica track day."

That means I live in a village kindasad.gif We only have one left that I know of and it's a privately owned psuedoDQ owned by Asians on Westheimer. Thank god for asian cooks but they have no business making hungerbusters - never seen such a skimpy burger. When's the last time you had to order two meals at DQ just to get full? mad.gif

Since DQ seems to be a hit there is one near the turn off on I-10 to go to the Seally track. I vote we eat and meet there biggrin.gif

Where the hell is snap? We need to make sure this won't kill his attendance too.

Truthfully there is a certain amount of experience you need to lead a large group of cars from point a to point b thru lights and such. We used to do it all the time back in the day but we learned then who can lead and who cannot. I'm pretty sure this was Roellamizzles first time. Next time I will get my own maps and drive there before hand [I've been there a few times before so I already have a leg up on it]. I know how to lead a group - we'll get there just fine.

oh no dont get me wrong, i'm not talkin no Sh!t. None.

I'm just as much at fault (if not more) as the next for last meet. That's why i'm going to load maps on my phone before roll-out, and it would deff help for everyone to have a list with everyones phone numbers on it, so if someone pulls off to take a piss, or if i need more beef jerky, or if someone gets a flat, ect.

We need to have the ability to contact and communicate with each other.

Last time was awesome, because none of us were really prepared, especially me, Because i have so many resources; but none were setup. rolleyes.gif It's not like me to make those misteaks, and its not going to happen again. biggrin.gif

We're going to be one big happy trail of cars rollin into this thing. laugh.gif
