Is $200 a good price for TC rims with no tires?

Also, is there a big difference in ride comfort between 215/45/17 and 225/45/17 tires? It seems like 225/45's are harder to find and a little more expensive... I found 4 used tires (215/45/17) in more than decent condition for under $200 so the whole setup should cost me less than $400. Good deal?

$200 for a set of used rims is good, as long as they aren't too chewed up

That's about the same deal I got but the tires were mounted. $400 for four wheels/tires and a spare rim with some rash for a full size spare.

Sounds like a deal to me. Scion TC rims look great on the 6th gen. Just get them trd center caps and your good to be. I see the 7th gen gts rims go for 350 with tires, and they don't look as good as the TC's.

I actually like GT-S wheels better than TC wheels on our cars..It's all personall preference. $200 for all four wheels (as long as thier in good shape) is a pretty good deal.

Agreed. I rocked 17" wheels for a bit on my black hatchback and then put on my winter wheels, which were 7th gen GT wheels. I much preferred the look of the smaller wheels with meatier tires. Looks way more aggressive than 17"/18"+ wheels with low profile tires.

I paid $200 for mine with tires, it was luck.

If the rims are in exc. condition i say yes its a good deal!

Check my profile to see how they look on my ride!

That's a good price. That's all I'd pay anyway without at least some bald tires on them.
I still can't understand why everyone pays so much for other Toyota stock rims? I paid $100 for my 7th Gen GTS wheels with Yoko's with 50%+ tread and just one curb rash on one rim. Granted that's a killer deal but I'd never pay over $250 for someone's stock rims.
Not a big fan of the tC rims but they do look good on our cars. I'd get some GTS for the looks and ride quality of 16"s

Thanks everyone for the replies. I ended up buying them for $150 thanks to my negotiating skills and b/c they all have some curb rash along the edge of the rim. It can be fixed pretty easily with a file, sandpaper and some clear coat biggrin.gif
