I haven't did the swap yet, but I would drive the $#!T out of my swap. Why not right? Of course while I do the swap and learn more if I can even handle AWD conversion in the far far future, I might look into another project car. Just dunno what yet.

its not always cool to have a swap as a dd but it makes a commute so much more exciting! biggrin.gif

Bumping an old thread. Daily driving the BEAMS, 12,000 miles on it since last July. Just curious who is still DD'ing their swap in 2012.

The reason I went with a 3SGE instead of a 3SGTE was because it is going to be my DD.

... that count? tongue.gif

I put roughly 90 miles a day on my 3rd gen 3s / E153 LSD combo.

the only thing I hate about driving the car daily is the clutch, I went with a clutch a little too aggressive for street, but I'm planning on replacing it this spring

Mine's a DD, but I work from home so I don't put too many miles on her. I've done 5,000km in almost a year!

The girlfriend's car sees a lot more of the road.

I also daily drive my celica, is around 90 miles a day getting and average of 26 miles per galon with mixed good commuter days / traffic and enjoyable driving days. no problems / complains here.

as long as you take your time and do ANY swap properly and the right way, you shouldn't have a problem driving it everyday, I mean, OEM'ish swaps, not the 700 WHP 3sgte monster builds lol. and even those can be some what daily driveable lol

Hey Ross! Check out my thread on my engine swap! You were part of the inspiration for it! Link's in my signature!

Are we going to see you this year at Ogopogo??
