I was born in Warsaw. I can tell you that while its more expensive, you probably dont do anywhere near the same amount of driving in Warsaw as people do in America.

Well I lived in NYC for 6 yrs and believe me I do drive the car whenever I can. I do 2kkm each month which comes out to roughly 1,4k miles even though polish roads suck monkey ass. My work commute is 50% car and 50% subway. I like to drive on the weekends. In NYC i was not doing much more driving.
For US standards Celica is an ECONOMY car whereas in Poland not really....

here its about $1.24ish/L, so about $4.69 a gallon. and thats for 87 octane. It was 1.40/L for 91 octane the otherday when i filled up the SIR down in Windsor. I feel bad for my buddy though, he needs to fill up on 94 octane only for his SRT4, costs him $113 to fill.

Here in New Zealand its NZ$1.969 L for 91, NZ$2.019 for 95 and I do not want to think what 98 is. Thats at the moment. Seems like we get 5-10c increases every week. So Yeah. I thinks thats about NZ$8 per gallon. I would love to be still paying even $1.50 per L which is probably about what you guys pay after converting.

1 gallon = 4.54 litres.

Super unleaded (99RON) is at it's most expensive in my area at £1.25 per litre, so multiply that by 4.54 = £5.67 per gallon, which over here would be $11.22 per gallon

But the thing is this isnt going to get better, its going to get worse. gas bill will be cut in half on a bike going back and forth to work. i spend $50 a week in gas to go about 72 miles every day (most of it Highway). a bike getting like 40 mpg will be so much cheaper.

The reporter was showing how in Saudi Arabia (i believe that is where this is) over a dune there is a Ski resort in the desert that the government just finished. lifts, snow, the whole nine yards. Its like 150 degrees out there and they are continuously making ice for this resort so people can ski. WE paid for that. Anyone know how much gas is in Iraq? like 45 cents! a barrel of oil costs us over $100 now.

Im really content with standing back and letting this world destroy itself.

Well anyways he adapted the technology to one of his vehicles and now can travel 100 miles on 4oz of hydrogen. he uses it daily and is set to be widespread technology by 2013 and supposedly be ready to begin production on a widescale. (in case your wondering it would be about a $2 fill up.)

The $11.22 a gallon isn't totally... fair you would have to subtract the taxes that each government adds to a gallon of gas..

Anyway, here in the motor city, its $4.14 for a gallon of regular, thank you, Mr. Bush. Oh and a big shout out to Exxon, Texaco, et all for posting record profits in the 8 Billion dollar range each QUARTER <shudders>

Yup I ride a bike cause it > riding a car....190 miles to a 4 - 4.5 gallon tank Petrol cost me $4.20 this weekend, $16.40 was the last fill up....when i originally purchased in 06' i was paying $9.00 a tank

True this. But i go with medium because of the fact that i've got some distance on that motor, and it's best that i didnt put in something that wont burn as well as i'd like. I'VE OFFICIALY PAID OVER FOUR BUCKS FOR GAS LAST NIGHT!! $4.09 infact... Fcuk that, i put $5.00 and waited till work where the local station here is still a cool $3.91

Granted it wasn't that much of a savings... but damnit, it's the principal!!

IRONY.....you pay more for 12oz of beer at a bar than you do for a gallon of gas....but you complain about the gas...

I drink WAY less beer than my car does gas! Plus, who's paying that much for a beer at a bar? A cocktail is five-ish...

Anyway, 4.19 today for 87. Blah. One of my coworkers (he's from Libya) was telling me that in Libya last summer, he payed TWELVE CENTS A LITER for gas. And that the gas there is so pure that it lasts longer and you get better mileage. When he went, he bought a Ford Windstar off eBay and had it shipped to Libya so he could drive it while he was there for 2 months, and then sell it when it was time to come home.

TWELVE CENTS A LITER!!! That amounts to a little less than a dollar a gallon. And it's NOT because of the exchange rate or the dollar being weak. It's because they have SO much oil there that it's cheap as hell!

i just drink some beers at my friends n walk to wild wings..nice atmosphere as well as the ladies

yea..the gas station by my place is up from 4.75 to 4.79

hmm..maybe Libya is the place to be? lol
