Carl Crawford @ Speed-Source. Had my swap done there, and can personally recommend them. Here is their website. They do A LOT of work there on 3s' - top notch fabrication, wiring etc.

Just to give you an idea, click next and watch the progression of a mount they made me: http://www.speed-source.net/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=2548

well since you have like 10g to throw away..a front st205 clip shouldnt cost more then 5k with that you shouldnt run into any problems at all..just need to the wiring harness to get converted over by dr.tweak and your all set..a local tuner shop around there should be able to do the complete swap for you for no less then 5g too just sayin that if u dont get the front clip and doing it yourself or you know there is some pretty good tunners on the forums here that u can take the car too and just have them do it for you. only tin gu have to do is just drive and call them before hand to let them know you want the swap done...but the thing is you have to for sure do your research and look up what u want to throw into the swap like after rods pistons, fuel pump, piggy back systems and all that good fun stuff..if you have the money just do the swap its fun and its one of a kind! but thats just me and what i would do..iwork at lexus so i see the is300 everyday and get to drive them too..not too fun anymore.. laugh.gif

You live in New Jersey, there are soo many 6g tuners who live there....doesn't Manny or Jeff live there? Can't remember which one, I think it was Jeff....he could even help you if you were to contact him.
But up to you---is300 (i would so change the name back to Altezza): RWD, blk top beams with vvti + more insurance + likely to be more costly for maintenance = 240hp
3s-gte swap = you know more about it and your own car and turbo!! and has 225/255hp.

I skipped over this part:

3sgte swap or buying a lexus is300. i have $10,000 saved up.

To be honest, go for the is300. Every swap no matter who does it will have small issues to be worked out. These can get very annoying sometimes - i think that's why we've seen so many swapped cars go up for sale recently. Just keeping it real. wink.gif

No, you cannot keep your 7afe tranny.
No, it will be more than 5k if someone else does it.

I'd recommend running a couple searches on good engine swaps for an ST - there are a couple out there. The 3s might not be your best choice.

If I were in your postition and I were spending 10 grand, I would buy the IS300.

If you aren't accustomed to being under the hood of a car and working on things yourself, you aren't going to want to own a swapped Celica. Trust me. A swapped Celica just isnt the type of car I would suggest you own if you take your car to get worked on by a mechanic and not yourself, especially if its your only car. Its alot of work, time-consuming, alot of upkeep and frustration, lots of downtime with the car, and its a never-ending process of trying to perfect something. Unless you love to turn wrenches yourself, you will quickly hate it. smile.gif

IS300 is a stock platform that is sexy, modern and sporty, with much more mechanical refinement than a Celica....plus its professional looking and theres a TON of potential if you plan to modify it. Its also much easier to have a shop properly maintain your IS300 than your JDM 3SGTE swapped Celica.... I wouldn't trust a shop to touch mine.

Keep in mind I own a swapped Celica, and my suggestion is to go with the IS300 that means anything. wink.gif I personally would prefer a swapped Celica, but thats because I have a daily driver that gets me around and the Celica is just for fun now. Driving the Celica everyday while trying to sort out little issues that come up gets very old, very fast and makes you want to quit working on cars......it goes from being a hobby to being "survival" so that you can get your ass to work everyday.
