i think you will appreciate the celica more once you put some hard work into it, especially and engine swap.

You are comparing different cars made for different reasons.

The celica will own the TA in other types of races.

Im pretty sure you'll be getting the LT1 not the LS1 in a 95.

and most importantly V8 gas > I4 gas

after thinking about it. id dont suggest the 3sgte, if its your first taste of boost. once it gets a foothold on you theres no stopping it from draining you wallet.

im use to it draining my wallet...my plan is to drop it in this summer with little mods (boost controler, a good tune, water injection etc.) then next summer go big with a larger turbo, cams, bore it out, forged everything the whole 9 yards) i still want to do the celica really bad but the thought of dropping 6-8k on an LS1 and being just as fast with out all this time and work just distracts me...A LOT...its all i thought about today at work...just weighing out the good and bad of both...and so far there quite even...i still dont know what to do

I said it before and again. Only you can choose.

but you are comparing apples to oranges.

Sorry for all the chevy fans, but they do not have a good track record except for a few cars. Celica is not the greatest out there, but you already have it.

so if you get your chevy, whats next. are you going to swap, modify, or start over?

with any car you get, there is always the feeling of getting nickel and dimed to death. Any used car will do this.

For no problems, new ones come with warranty, yup you lose money but, at least you know it will be covered to an extent.

and this is my personal flavor, i would never buy anything but an import vehicle. (Scion, Lexus, Toyota).

Yes im a fan of the japanese....

why don't you make it you're own?

Basically what everyone else here has said, it's you're choice 95st. If you NEED convincing from OTHER PEOPLE on wheather YOU should keep YOU'RE OWN car, then mabe getting a different car isn't a bad idea. You are going to be the one buying and dealing w/ the car for X amount of time anyway. Might as well be something you're happy with.

completely agree with that statement.

This is probably the lamest thread i've seen. A true car enthusiast shouldn't be asking others what car to drive. Decide whats right for you: looks, speed, functionality, and/or price, and buy the car that fits that category.

yea i decided to keep the car...you can close it def...i was really close to selling it though but i have come to far witht he celica...and i wasnt getting an ls1 because he has one...he got an lt1...which are slower..but because i always wanted one...but i figured they are a dime a dozzen now a days and are going cheaper then ever due to the higher gas prices..plus theres not that many 3s celicas out there so i figured i'll build this and see if i like it then i can always sell it and get an ls1..who knows....close this up def. im not sellin
