I'm trying to do some modifying on my tailights but I don't know how I'm supposed to go about it the plastic backing?? How do you get that away from the clear plastic red and stuff?? I've already accidently chipped some of the plastic and I don't want to do that anymore.. I need some help please!

It should be possible to separate the entire lens portion from the backing case by very careful use of the oven treatment. Great care is required.....if the units are not hot enough, you won't shift the lens - too hot and you'll distort/melt the whole thing.

I've used this procedure on Supra mk3's, Corolla/Esprit and all versions of MR2 Mk2 amongst others.

Alternatively, I think Culpable04 did his conversion by cutting out a slot in the backing case to insert his LED's. Maybe worth a P.M, but I haven't been able to get a reply from him for some time
