Got this car a couple months ago, it's my first so don't hate on the ****ty rims. laugh.gif It's a '97 but only has 67k miles on it, and everything is more or less in pretty good condition.

EDIT: updated shot with the letters removed...

I'm definite, unless the dealership lied.
And it definitely is, I'm really happy with it...it doesn't even have any blemishes inside, no scratches/dent anywhere, save for a small one by the fan control knob. Only has minor scratches on the bumper and right fender, but they're bothe negligible.

Really? Then it might be a GT...what are the differences between that model year ST and GT? I know the hubcaps aren't original, since the tires and rims were brand new.

most likely it is b/c there is no emblem on the back right...that's where the "gt" badge is on our cars. Look under the hood and there should be a piece of paper on the bottom of it that says the engine's code... either 7afe (st) or 5sfe(gt).

97 was the last year they offered the ST model. after that they changed some of the standard options on the GT like the front strut bar.

Not really. However, they are brand new, so at least I have "nice" hubcaps and not ****ty ones. If I had the money, it would be sitting on 17's right now...

it still seemed a little unclear. that's why i posted. the 97 was the last year they produced the ST not 98.

either way i don't really care LOL

Ja, thanks. Regardless of what anything else says, I checked under the hood and it has the 7A-FE, so definitely an ST.

Nice car, The sunroof and tail lights look bizarre to me though, The sunroof on my old 6gc slid under the roof not over it and I just realised US kept the old school tail lights even after they changed in 1996 for our models

Clearly! But the skirts are stock right? Cause I haven't done anything to it. The tint was from the previous owner, so once again, I'm lucky that they were so kind to this car.

Yeah, whoever had it previously must've loved it. I'm thinking I'll throw on rims when I can, and possibly lower too...would look sick.

nope. those are the oem/ssIII skirts.
btw i wasn't doubting that your car is an ST or a 97 cuz i used to have a 97 ST. i knew from the pic of the engine bay it's just everyone else had the years wrong. also the 97 was the last year they offered the coupe model in case anyone was wondering.

Since I'm broke right now, if I keep it long enough, I'll put on some 17/18's and lower it.

You should clean your valve cover and spray it a color with hi temp paint ...like

or

Those are my 2 projects but honestly it will make your engine bay look SOOOO much cleaner. I can kinda see where the oil/grease residue is on your valve cover. Most dealerships just power wash engines and then use armor all on the plastic/rubber .... (I used to work at one and had to do that kinda scum bag stuff)

True, that does look lots better. I think I'm gonna buy some stuff and do a full detail in a couple weeks since I've noticed a couple small scratches anyways. Thanks though biggrin.gif
