do you have a link to the ebay auction? Here they are: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1994-1999-T...sspagenameZWDVW The same people also have a bunch of the same with only the "Buy it Now" option for $500 apiece. Every now and then they have an actual auction. I got 'em for $350, plus the standard $75 shipping they have for all of their seat covers. Really, they're pretty good quality, and although they are a very good fit, they are not an exact match. What I mean by that is our OEM seat covers have stitched fabric all around each edge with a wire that runs through it, plus more of the same in the bucket area of the seat (to maintain the seat's contour). While these have the ones in the bucket part, they do not have all of the ones on the outside, so I had to jury-rig a bit. A little Gorilla Glue, some zip ties, and it all comes together. Great Work! ![]() I propose you do a wright up on it ![]() I used this one. It's pretty straightforward. http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?act=ST...=27699&st=0 -------------------- |

how much did this cost you? $425 total for the covers ($350 plus $75 shipping) and then I bought a package of 100 heavy duty zip ties for $10 and a bottle of Gorilla Super Glue for $5. The lowest quote I got for installation was $550, but after buying them I was out of money. Norberto turned me on to the how-to above and told me it wasn't as daunting a task as it seemed. So the material cost is it. ![]() -------------------- |

I'm not suggesting otherwise; I just wanted to be clear. ![]() BTW, thanks to everyone for the kind comments. I'll add add more pics once I complete the job. Hopefully the front seats turn out well, too. ![]() are they perforated, it looks like it! Yes, they are. The seller has a bunch of options including perforations, two-tones, and even a seat heater. The heater costs an additional $100, but I think everything else is a no-cost option. Obviously, here in VA the heater would be of no use to me. ![]() This post has been edited by shaunrichard: Jun 26, 2008 - 6:56 PM -------------------- |

OMG ![]() when are you doing the fronts... Next week. I'm doing it at my part-time office. We have a big air-conditioned warehouse that makes for a nice work space. I'll just do one at a time. Of course, it depends on how much time I have - Monday, I'm dropping off a valve cover to Stephen for powdercoating. ![]() -------------------- |

looks good! everyone says that they are a bad fit but i looks really good to me.
Has anyone heard that you might get a tighter fit if you heat them up? A little bit tighter and I would def. by a set even with the pricey shipping... ![]() This post has been edited by Ugglan: Jun 27, 2008 - 1:53 AM |

They do look a little loose in the pictures, but they are pretty tight. I figure they're going to get baked sitting in the 99 degree temps we'll have today, and maybe they'll tighten up even more. If not, the rears especially are pretty easy to remove and try to adjust. -------------------- |

They look really nice. I purchased them in black with red stitching for my daughter, but she wrecked her celica before they even got installed.

if you want them tighter, rent a steamer and go over them once... the combination of heat and moisture will cause shrinkage much better than just heat.

Sorry, folks - I had no time this week to get these done and now I'm heading out of town for the holiday. So hopefully I'll be able to get to it sometime between Monday and Wednesday next week. For anyone who has contacted me about the availability of my current seat covers, please PM me again if you're still interested. I cleaned out my inbox without enough discretion the other day and lost a couple that I meant to keep. Thanks and everybody have a good 4th!

For anyone who has contacted me about the availability of my current seat covers, please PM me again if you're still interested. I cleaned out my inbox without enough discretion the other day and lost a couple that I meant to keep. Thanks and everybody have a good 4th! ![]() I have done a new leather interior in my car too. It is really cost effective getting the material from ebay. You can find it by typing in "ST205 leather seat covers" and they will come up. Price is about $499.00 + shipping however you can make an offer. *Note: These are good quality seat covers made of thick leather and you can choose your color and stitching, in my opinion they are well worth it. You can get the seats tight without a heat gun, depends on how far you can get the material into the valleys in the foam done by how tight or loose you do the hog rings. The hog rings that come with it are kinda cheap so if you have a boat interior or reupholstry business around I would recommend getting the good hog rings (about $9.00 for a bag full) they will be a lot thicker. Also you will need a seamstress too sew on the interlocking channel for the front seats. Just simply take the old covers over with the new ones and get them tranferred over so they will have an example. (fairly cheap to have done $20.00 to $50.00) The only tools you will need are regular and needle nose pliers. The new covers go on in the reverse order the old ones come off. ( starting from the inside and working out. *and making holes for the headrest after the covers are on.) I can send pics of my finished interior if anyone is curious to how they look I will be home next week. If you have any questions please dont hesistate to contact me.
