Best way to clean seats? Options

Everything else on the interior is fine, but due to the grain on the side supports, the seats have gotten a bit dirty/grody...any cleaning recommendations you guys use?

dirty the rest of the interior so they look cleaner.

actually what if found to be the best was this orange can of carpet cleaner with an orange scrubber top to it.... i'm blanking on the name.... :X

Some car wash places have upholstery cleaners over where the vacuums are. I've always used these, with a pretty good degree of success. You could lightly Spray 'n Wash the seats, let it set for about ten minutes, then use the upholstery cleaner. It's a foam shampoo stuff that is basically a dry foam - you scrub it in with the brush thing and then vacuum it up. Works great.

i took the whole seat apart and washed it by hand. couple of members have done it to. there is a how to sticky on how to take the seats apart.

I found Scotch-Gard uphostery cleaner worked very well for me after I bought my car (former owner was a smoker). Follow the directions carefully and you should be good, plus it doesn't take nearly as long to dry as a detailer's version.

Actually, I ended up using the Scotch-Gard after the detailer failed to do a good job -- my seats were certainly wet, but the car wasn't particularly well-cleaned.

Don't have the time/energy/need to do this, they're not that bad.
