Pretty sure Busch didn't want this, just ended up losing controlling stake in the company. Hopefully they don't cut any jobs, the stock market just keeps sliding.

What? Does that mean they are gonna change the names of all their theatres yet again? First Verizon buys out all the good theatre/concert halls both in indoor and outdoor in Texas, then they change all their names to Verizon Wireless Theatre and now they'll probably change names again [creating more confusion when selecting a venue]

Stella Artois is the beer made by the now-owners of BudWeiser.

Bud, Coors...those are used for beer pong & flip cup. If I'm at a bar its Corona light or liquor.

Damn, I wish I had money to use those for beerpong. Us college kids have to use good ole' keystone light.

But on any other night, it's all Guinness for me.

It was something like 53 billion they sold it for...crazy

Yeah honestly i dont HATE bud and diet Bud but it just happens 2 kinda give me a headache, but i perfer Miller Light and that Miller Chill is very good. Oh and i seen some nods to Sam Adams and Dos Equis aslo those are good. To me Corona has a terrible bitterness, i think Sol is a better beer.

First, let me say that the Budweiser Brewery that is 5 min from my current position, will (supposedly) Continue brewing the same crisp, clean & bold Referishment; that years of enjoyment have lead me to expect from the nations #1 premium alcoholic beverage. (or atleast that's what the Radio-Guy said.)

And i'm scared that they wont. frown.gif

Right, German thing; I know. But the American Civilization is known for drinkin' cold beer. Not that i complain at your place, i'm not going to let beer go un-drank, but it's so weird. Your the only person i know who does that... but that's probably what you say about me and my cold beer. biggrin.gif

[/off topic]

So does anyone expect to see the quality of Budweiser change? Has anyone drank beer from this other company? Is it good, complimenting or just plain suck?

I think the brewing process will all stay the same. They would be stupid to change anything about it. Whether any one of us likes it or dislikes it, it's still america's number one beer. I dont think that anything will drastically change.

Yes, but do you think the brew masters will be layed off, so that a new crew can take over? or are they keeping their KEY-employees? (yeah, of corse they'll keep the lower level people)

Also, will the brew masters be expected to taste for the same things? or will their focus be elsewhere?

We know. We've seen the one installed in your cupholders remember? wink.gif

And just for the record - 50% of Americans are fully aware that Bud is pisswater - the other 50% are broke or rednecks. I myself often find myself with Bud Light in hand when the money gets low.

Shiner Bock and Bohemia get my votes.

And BTW - This new owner would be crazy to change anything and I'm sure they probably will not. Everyone still remembers "new coke" - whether it's great or not you don't fcuk with the world's best selling anything.

Bud isn't that cheap here.

about $14 for 6x300ml bottles

or about $5-6 per bottle in a bar.

How's that compare?

WHOLEY SCHETT!!

12 pack, 12oz Cans = $10.99 at my local GAS STATION!!
24 Pack, 12oz Cans = $17.99 at my local Wal*Mart or Kroger(w/ Card wink.gif )
$3.00-$3.50 in a BAR

EDITED: Bud is not an Import to the UK. See above post.

But I suppose, Budweiser is the 2nd most expensive beer that i drink. With Corona being #1! But that's an import for you.

It's brewed here.

Then really can't see it selling very well kindasad.gif
IDK - what can I say? Sux2bU?

meh, i'm not bothered. i like it here no matter how expensive it is.

You can't really get ANY drink in a bar here for less than $5, unless it's a skanky pub. London is worse, you're looking at $8-10 for a beer. And when i go to the big clubs in Ibiza in a month i'll be paying $20 a drink.

In fact i think there's actually a law against discounting alcohol here now...

Got to give a shout out to the 40oz too!

Olde English = smooth and gets you just the prefect amount of drunk. Great 40 to start the night with.

Sam Adams and yuengling are both good beers. Not anything great, but still above typical piss beers.

money had nothing to do with it. It's just thats a heavy beer to be playing pong with. My beer of choice is Guinness but i would never be able to play with it.

I kinda like Sol better too.

Right, German thing; I know. But the American Civilization is known for drinkin' cold beer. Not that i complain at your place, i'm not going to let beer go un-drank, but it's so weird. Your the only person i know who does that... but that's probably what you say about me and my cold beer. biggrin.gif

So does anyone expect to see the quality of Budweiser change? Has anyone drank beer from this other company? Is it good, complimenting or just plain suck?

ok........WHAT!? You make my @ss itch. laugh.gif

First. Its not just a German thing. Second, you guys have got to get away from the Bud. Try anything Fat Tire or if im not mistaken its New Belgian brand. And if thats who bought Budweiser then lets hope for a taste change. Bud is good for a GOOD game of Pong, if your just looking for drunk you can do Busch and Keystone if you want. but to me, that stuff isnt even drinkable.

and Guinness is the best, pricy yes, but if your going to drink, do it right.

D-Man your killin me bro! Miller Chill is a fine LIGHT beer and corona and newcastle has always been bitter and i think about 1/3rd pf the people that drink either of those do it just bcuz think think this "cool" to have one in your have. But i do think the quality of Bud declining may be a real thing. I mean first time the company see a small hit in profits to either the USA (BUD) or belgian side of the company it will most likely do small cost saving things that effect the taste. ie maybe using cheaper hops or inferior barley. I think Bud uses 2 row malted barley but its more expensive.

yah i do, trust me, Houston TX, Hello.........

But whats that old joke. What does Having sex in a boat and Budweiser have in common? To Fcuking close to water. If im going to drink Bud i might as well get a bottle of water, about the same price and its better for me. I like tasting my beer, i like full flavor. Bud is good for if you outside working in the heat and want to drink at the same time. Which is a bad idea anyways. if you want a good flavored but liter beer, Shiner is a good way to go, and Fat Tire isnt that bad on the full feeling either. You really need to try Mothership Wit from New belgiam. Its full flavor but not so bad on the heavy.

In my house, we eat alot of spanish style foods (if ya wanna call it that) really; we call it El Texadorian laugh.gif (i'm texan, Gal is Salvadorina) so Corona goes great with alot of our BBQ's. Budweiser is a good "on a budget" beer. It taste ok, but not nearly as good as alot of other, more expensive beers. I'd much rather pay the extra for Fat Tire though. smile.gif

when i turned 21 the bar i went to had no stone brewing co pruducts. so i went with fat tire. gotta say it was a mighty taste dark.

is it just me... or does guiness give off this bizarre soy sauce taste?

i despise piss beers. miller, bud, coors... i dont descriminate. i hate all those fizzy yellow domestic companies evenly.

stone brew co is san diego local... we're blessed with their greatest achievement... ARROGANT BASTARD ALE. its tasty if you like em dark.

personally my favorites are red beers. nice and hoppy and flavorful. but not overbearing or too heavy like their dark brothers. im really impressed with sam adams line of beers. the oktoberfest was awesome

personally my favorites are red beers. nice and hoppy and flavorful. but not overbearing or too heavy like their dark brothers. im really impressed with sam adams line of beers. the oktoberfest was awesome

That stuff is WAY to far with the dark

when i turned 21 the bar i went to had no stone brewing co pruducts. so i went with fat tire. gotta say it was a mighty taste dark.

is it just me... or does guiness give off this bizarre soy sauce taste?

sam adams is ok i have liked all their beers except the cheery wheat. wow what an appalling beer. And i have never tried Arrogant Bastard Ale but i have tried Bare Knuckle Stout which is the one Anniesher beer i will drink its just kinda hard 2 find. Also Miller light has a nice blend of taste but not being to watered down i think its a great balance.
